TIH 549 Once again thank you for tuning into Truth in History as we endeavor to go into some of the things today that are going to be somewhat controversial with some people but we must realize that we are living in a dying civilization. And this series of programs will come with a warning and that warning is they're not going to be politically correct. But it's not my endeavor to be politically correct because we as a church, we as families, we as a nation, we need to know the truth as to what has happened to our great nation. What has taken place? What have been the forces and who's behind those forces and ordinarily the answer that is given by preachers is the devil. Well, who is the devil? The devil has he must have someone to work through just like the Lord has his servants; Satan has his servants, but just saying the devil is not good enough. Just saying well you know it's the, the devil has wrecked this nation. The devil has used people to wreck this nation and in this series that I have entitled What is Wrong with America? I want to bring out several different principles and ideas that I'm sure will help each one of us understand what has happened to our once Christian nation. And I want to have a word of prayer as we begin because regardless of the evil in the nation, God has his righteous people. That's the only saving grace regardless of the sin God has a holy people within this nation in which we live. And there's many needs, so let's go to the Lord in prayer. Our heavenly Father we thank you that we can come to you and bring not only our personal needs but we come and we bring the needs of others to you. Those who are sick and suffering. Those that are dying with diseases. Lord, those that are in the turmoil of family trouble, may be divorce or trouble with children, teenagers or grown children or debt or whatever that may be in Jesus name. You are the answer Lord. You're the answer. You're our comforter and you are the one that gives victory in every situation. Bless the poor we pray. Bless those that are suffering and sick and heal them we pray by your stripes. Save the lost at any cost in Jesus name we pray. Amen. Our text for today is found in Romans chapter one. Everyone is familiar with this passage of Scripture because it speaks, it describes so aptly the wickedness of men, the wickedness and the iniquity of mankind. And first of all, there are personal sins, personal sins of the individual. Then there's iniquity of a nation and in the iniquity of a nation it denotes a corporate effort to commit sin. It denotes the leadership giving permission to the people to commit sin. In other words, the leadership of a nation condones and legalizes sin. Even though it's still immoral on the books of the nation the quote “the law books of a nation,” that sin is now legal to commit. And everyone knows what I'm talking about on this program today. Our leadership in the United States of America has betrayed us and not only our political leadership but our educational leadership. In other words the professors and the teachers in the colleges, universities, and even the seminaries and also our church leadership has betrayed the American people. They are out for popularity and money just like those in Hollywood are called the rich and the famous. Politicians and now it's preachers that are falling or following in the footsteps of many politicians to become popular, to become influential and to become rich, to amass unto themselves filthy lucre. What we need in this nation today, we don't need any more preachers. We need prophets of God that will speak the truth without fear or favor. Romans chapter one, beginning with verse nineteen, I'm going to read quite a bit here because it's so important and this is a neglected passage of Scripture. Verse nineteen, “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them for who, for God hath shown it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead, or deity, so that they are without excuse.” Man is without excuse just simply from the natural creation that the Lord has made is evidence. It's proof that there is a Creator and man is responsible for his lifestyle before that Creator because anybody with a half a brain can figure out that this mass universe of ours did not come into being from just a slime amoeba out of, out of a pond somewhere a hundred million years ago. Neither did it come to pass by a compilation of gases as some scientists say because it was created by an intelligent being called Yahweh God Elohim himself, the Creator of all things. Verse number twenty one, “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful but they became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.” My comment on these verses is that man in general even church people in general have lost the concept of the holiness of God. Let me say that again. Generally speaking mankind as a whole in our once Christian nation, I'm talking about America. Well, we can include Canada, Great Britain and other Christian nations, even church people, even preachers have lost the consciousness of the holiness of Almighty God and there's a result of that loss of consciousness. What is it? They immediately begin to redefine sin. When you lose the consciousness of the holiness of God you immediately begin to redefine sin. Oh, well, homosexuality is no longer a sin. You say that because whoever says that, whatever priest or preacher or Rabbi or Minister says that, he has you know immediately that man has lost his consciousness of the holiness of Almighty God, if he ever had that consciousness in the beginning because it says here, professing themselves to be wise. You see, there's, in our history, the name of this program is Truth in History and the reason why it's called that is because we must look at history for what it really is or has been, or what it has produced and what it has produced is what we see around us in our culture today. Let's not deny that there have been evil men gone before us that have plotted the destruction of America, that have plotted the destruction of our culture and we're going to talk about some of those men in this series of broadcasts. And you take in 1776 when our American forefathers drew up the Declaration of Independence, a great document and it gave unto us our freedom, etc. but also in 1776 there was a man by the name of Adam Wieshaupt who established the Illuminati overseas over in Europe that was, it's intent was to undermine, was to undermine this great nation and the principles of freedom and liberty that we have to bring us under bondage and the Illuminati, the bearers of the light is what that means, but it's, it's an, it's an evil sinister force that is still working in our government, in our school system, and even in our churches. But where does it work the most? It works in the minds of men. That's where it works the most. Not on paper, not with the force of a bayonet but it works in the minds of men, especially in the educational institutions of this great country. And being that I'm talking about what is wrong with America, the, this country with all of its enlightenment established an educational system called public education but before that it was the churches and the homes that educated the people that educated the children. The church the modern church has abdicated its authority to educate the people that's sitting in the pew because the modern church, if you will view the modern church, whether you see it on television or in person down at Fifth and Main in your hometown, if you go there you will discover that most likely it's not a teaching institution to educate people in Scripture and in history and to forewarn them and to forearm them with truth against the forces of evil. It has turned out to be an institution of entertainment. Because music is wonderful when it's noble, when it's Christian, when it fits the biorhythm of the Western man. But what we have gone into in the modern church is jungle music. In some cases I'm convinced demonic music. It doesn't even fit with a, with the nervous system of Western man. It came out of the jungle and it came out of the, the lower Nether world of demonic worship, dressed it up, gave it some modern instruments, but look at the way the music, the beat affects the gyrations and the movements of the physical bodies of the people that are singing it and also the words. They may put in a few religious words but if you notice that most of the songs are not theocentric, they're anthropocentric. They're man centered not God-centered. Back to Romans Chapter one. “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their bodies, their own bodies between themselves who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator who is blessed forever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections.” This means shameful dishonorable affections. “For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust one toward another.” If that's not talking about the gay and lesbian lifestyle, what is? “Men with men working that which is unseemly,” or indecent unnatural, “and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.” Verse twenty eight, “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient,” or not natural. A reprobate mind that is a mind that is rejected or a castaway. Now there's certain things I want to mention before we go to another text. Suppressing, number one in Romans chapter one point number one that I want to leave with you is that they suppressed the truth. That is in verse eighteen. Holding the truth in unrighteousness which means suppressing the truth. Who's guilty of suppressing the truth more than any other class of people in our society? Politicians and ministers. They just simply will not tell you the full truth of a matter. They smooth it over. They have a way of manipulating words to make people feel good. But suppressing the truth results in, number one, glorifying God but not as God. In other words you create your own God, and you became you become vain and dark in their imaginations. They changed the glory, verse twenty three, they changed the glory of the incorruptible God and they debase him, they bring him down to just a natural creature Paul says as corruptible man. They just bring the holiness of God, the truth of God, the verity of God down to man's level where man can decide what is right and what is wrong. They change the truth, verse number twenty five, and when you change the truth you become vile in your affections and the rejection of God in their knowledge, verse number twenty eight, and you become reprobate. You reject God and his knowledge. God will reject you. Now what is wrong with America? There's so many ills, so many defects and I'm speaking today to a lot of people that are my age, maybe older, that will agree with me that this country is not the country of my childhood. It is not the same. This country is not the country of my youth. It's not the same place. It's the same location on the globe but that's about it. The church is different. The statehouse is different. The schoolhouse is different. Everything is different. When I was in sixth grade in public school, we had Mrs. Turum for our teacher and every morning we quoted the verse, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight O Lord my strength and my redeemer” out of the book of Psalms. It's not allowed anymore. It's not there because man became vain in his imagination, became vain. We kicked God out. We just dismissed him rudely out the door of the schoolhouse. And then when tragedy happens, some simpleton gets on television and says why would a holy God, a a loving God allow these children to be harmed in our school. Can he put two and two together? What is wrong with America? Religious pluralism, juvenile delinquency, false shepherds, love of pleasure, sexual perversion, usury, decadent entertainment, aborticide, killing the unborn, idolatry, broken homes, foreign wars, violence, rejection of God's Word, the list goes on and on. But we need men of God that are in the pulpits today that will speak the Word of God without fear or favor and point out some of the things that's wrong with our nation instead of saying well it's just the devil. The devil works through people. And he's had his imps fully devoted to him. And we cannot set the blame first at the White House. We cannot set the blame first at the statehouse or the schoolhouse. The blame must first start at the church house because as the church goes, so goes the nation and the culture of a nation is the result of the culture in the church. And the belief and practice of the church determines the belief and the practice of our nation. So God help us and preacher if you're listening to me today, regardless of what your denominational affiliation is, if you're listening to me today, I pray that you would ask the Lord to give you a backbone, give you some old-fashioned courage to stand before your congregation and tell them the truth of God and expose sin not only in the pew but in the White House or the Statehouse, or the schoolhouse. Expose the iniquity that is in our nation because we are having a dearth of men of God in this nation today that will speak the truth, even when it cost a following or people in the pew or cost him income. We need men of God. God give us men. I pray that you would tune in next time and believe and struggle and fight for the salvation of this nation.

TIH 550 Bless the Lord Oh my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name. We are in a series of messages entitled What is Wrong With America. But in spite of everything that is wrong, God is still on his throne. In spite of anything and everything that is wrong and the severity of the problems in this nation, God is still on his throne and he's very active on the throne. The second thing God has a holy people in the earth even in the midst of all the corruption and the corrupt people that are on the earth. God has a holy remnant and He always will. He always has and He always will. In considering so many things about this great country, first of all we must say and I speak not only for myself but for many people that I know and no doubt also for you, I love my country. This is my country. This is where I was born. This is where I was raised. I love its history. I love its great men, its heroes. I love what it stands for and what it has offered to me and the life, the good life that we have lived in this country. So I don't want to be misunderstood. I don't want to give the impression that I want, that I want to see the country destroyed. No, that's what bothers me. But my heart weeps not just for me, but for our children and our grandchildren. My heart weeps just like Jeremiah the weeping prophet. It weeps for our children and for our grandchildren. Now, what happens when nations die? When you talk about the death of a nation, one man came out with a documentary several years ago entitled America's Too Young to Die, ever so true. But nations do die. Now when you look into the Old Testament you look at the ancient, ancient history when nations died back then they lost their leadership because foreign nations would come in and capture their king or their royalty and take them back to the land of the captors. They would kill a lot of the people and take the best of the land, the best of the people, and take them into captivity also. But that's not going to happen in America. We have nowhere to go. We have nowhere to run to. The world is already fully developed and inhabited everywhere. We can't run. We can't sell everything we have, take a few possessions and go to some island somewhere. That's not going to work. What's happening in America is a gradual change that has been taking place really over two hundred years but it's been expedited in the last sixty years. I mean, its fast-forward in the last sixty years in changing the mentality of the people, changing the values of the people so that our enemy will not have to take us to another physical location. They have just changed the values of our people into that which we once despised. You can see how captivating the entertainment industry is whether it be sports or movies or whatever. It's captivating and that is not a Christian mentality. Anyway “When Nations Die” was the title of a book written by Jim Nelson Black and the subtitle of his book was “America on the Brink - Ten Warning Signs of a Culture in Crisis.” And he gives us these warning signs in three different categories: social decay and under social decay there's three points. The Crisis of Lawlessness, crime, horrible crime, vicious crimes perpetrated on innocent people. This is taking place in the home. They call it domestic violence. Why such an increase? It's happened in the streets. As you well know there's places in Chicago, Detroit, LA, Kansas City, it's not safe to walk down the street at high noon and many other cities. Crisis of Lawlessness. Number two, the loss of economic discipline. How has this taken place? Its taken place in my estimation in a couple ways. The promotion of materialism through radio, magazine, television, the promotion of the desire for physical things. You see how people line up at a store when they're going to open up at nine o'clock in the morning but they've advertised this new product, new phone or new electronic gadget. They may only have fifty of those gadgets on the shelf but there's a hundred and fifty people in line willing to trample one another to buy that object. The loss of economic discipline. They put it on their credit card. So many people even Christians cannot manage their own money. Our government, our federal government, is totally out of control on this point. Our federal government is totally out of control on this point because we have forsaken the righteous principles that God has given us and the proper attitude toward money. So therefore its get, get, get. The loss of economic discipline. You see money is a wonderful servant but a horrible, vicious master. It is now in the churches. People have come up with schemes, ministers have come up with schemes to get money out of your pocket, get money out of your pocket and they can put some high sounding, spiritual sounding words to make you believe that God has just spoken to them for you to send in a certain amount of money. The loss of economic discipline. Number three, rising bureaucracy. That one speaks for itself. So many government agencies, it's unbelievable how many government agencies and how many fat bureaucrats are on the payroll of our federal government and our state governments and a lot of them doing absolutely nothing, nothing productive except looking for 4:30 and payday. His second category is cultural decay. The decline of education and America is falling behind many other nations in many different areas of education. There's something wrong. Cultural decay. His second point is the weakening of cultural foundations. Everything that we once held dear is now being destroyed and the Bible tells us if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do. His next point is loss of respect for tradition. His next point is increase in materialism. Its get, get, get. I need this. I need that. I want that. I can't live without that. Remember when you were a child, many of you, you took an orange crate and put some wheels on it with a rope and you sat in it while the kid next door pulled you and then you swapped and you'd pull him. And you were satisfied and you modified that orange crate even to be able to steer it. Oh no, not anymore. Children want fancy things, electric, you know under the Christmas tree it's got to have the latest toy or the latest electronic gadget. It's materialism. And then his third major category is moral decay. The rise in immorality, sexual perversion of all kinds, not just homosexuality, but unfaithfulness among married partners, whoremongering, adultery, fornication, pornography, the list goes on and on. The rise of immorality and it's flaunted in the streets. It's flaunted on television and one of the detrimental things about television is that that camera can take you into places, clubs, night clubs, whore houses, take you into places where you would never personally physically go but yet you sit there and you watch these movies and see things in the privacy of your home watching that filthy television movies that you would never partake of in person. The rise of immorality. He also adds the decay of religious belief. Do you know that in many churches, many denominations, they have let down the standard of their doctrine because they have lost membership. They've lost such a large number of members that they let down their doctrinal standard to bring in more people because people means more finances and they have to finance their churches, their administrative staff and the denominational headquarters and they have to sponsor all these different programs that they have. And the last one under moral decay is the devaluing of human life. No longer is human life valued as it once was because the aborticide industry in America alone has murdered over fifty million babies, fifty million people. And it's been proven that some of these doctors, that's their two or three hour work on Saturday morning on the side. And they're bringing in millions. Money is more important than life. Then some of them go to church on Sunday and sing Oh how I love Jesus. God is keeping record. Another way to lose the value of human life is to glorify war, glorifying war either on the screen or in reality. Look at some of the videos that are made, violence, killing one and just blowing up buildings, all types of nonsense or in reality glorifying war, going overseas and killing people in other nations, and we have no conscience whatsoever, and we call ourselves a Christian nation. You say well they're, they're not Christian, they're, they're Hindu or Muslim or they're something else but they're people. You see if you devalue human life on any one level or among any one group of people that disease of lack of respect of human life grows to all other people. America has gone through much Cultural Revolution. The Bible tells us that perilous times will come and they're here. I want to turn to Proverbs chapter fourteen and verse number thirty four. It says, “Righteousness exalts a nation,” righteousness walking in the paths of the Almighty, “but sin is a reproach to any people.” Sin is a reproach to any people. I have asked the question What is wrong with America? And then I want to ask another question. I want to ask several questions and talk about it. What is wrong with the White House? In the Old Testament we read this in I Kings chapter fourteen. We find a phrase in the Bible that says this in 14:16 of I Kings it says concerning Jeroboam, “And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam who did sin and who made Israel to sin.” You mean Jeroboam made Israel to sin? Now Jeroboam was the king. He was the leader and God is holding him responsible because he legalized iniquity in ancient Israel. And this, this phrase is used approximately fifteen times concerning the different kings. We go to verse number twenty six and it indicates the sin of the different kings. We read in sixteen Chapter two, “For as much as I exalted thee out of the dust and made thee prince over my people Israel and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam and hath made my people Israel to sin.” This is coming from the top and therefore God is holding the leadership responsible. Verse 13, “For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin in provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their vanities.” This is indicating that the leadership of a nation is responsible. What about our White House? What about our president who gave permission for a same-sex marriage proposal to take place in the White House? This took place last year. This took place in 2012 I should say. A Marine Corp captain proposed to his male partner in the wild, White House and this is what he said. “Thanks for all the wonderful greetings and messages, and thanks to Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for lending us your home for the occasion” unquote. Because, you see, this president has come out in public and sanctioned same-sex marriage in this country. Folks, God is taking notice. Some of our past presidents had their mistresses on the side while living in a respectable so-called respectable manner with your wife in the White House. Well, what does that do? That legalizes, that desensitizes the seriousness of wrong among the common people. We had one president in the nineties who was actually a whoremonger. Bill Clinton, a whoremonger, but yet he was not thrown out of office because the weakness of the men in Congress and the lack of fortitude to do right in this nation has been stripped away. But God tells me that the king of ancient Israel was held responsible for the sins of the people because he legalized sin. That's what the president has done, legalized sin, he's in favor. The vice president said the same thing. Do you think that God in his holiness has turned aside and will turn a deaf ear to that? No, my friend judgment is coming to this nation. We need men of God to stand up and quit being pansies in the pulpit and to point out just like Jeremiah was told to do, to expose the sins of the nation, to expose the sins of the pulpit, the church, to expose the sins of the common people and the leadership. We need men of God. God give us men. I pray that you will be stirred in your spirit as you listen to this series of programs concerning what is wrong with America and I have a lot more to say but our time is running out but I pray that your spirit is stirred just like the apostle Paul when he was at Athens and he saw all these idols. His spirit was stirred within him because of the idolatry of the city of Athens and my spirit is stirred and my spirit is vexed every day with the filthy conversation of the wicked and I pray that your spirit is vexed every day with the filthy conversation and lifestyle of our nation. TIH 551 Welcome once again to Truth in History. Those of you who have been following this program and this ministry on television realize that we are in a series entitled What is Wrong With America? And we have been trying to examine the problem from a spiritual Biblical standpoint to diagnose what has been the reasons for our decay. And there's not just one reason. There are several reasons. But amongst all the negative, amongst all the sin, amongst all the national iniquity of this nation, God has a purpose for this nation. God has a people within this nation and God is still on the throne and still in charge. But before we begin our lesson today I'd like for us to have a word of prayer because there are so many personal needs among so many that write in or call and voice a need for prayer. Where could I go but to the Lord? Hallelujah! Let us pray. Our heavenly Father we thank you that we can come before your throne of mercy because your throne is not of marble but of mercy. And we bring every request. Every mother that is called in for their child. Every man that is called in asking for employment. Every family that's in financial problems. Every person that is suffering, needing a healing, a miracle, we thank you Lord for answering these requests. Heal the brokenhearted. Heal the broken bodies, Jesus is is the healer. Satan is the defiler, but Jesus is the healer. We thank you Lord that we can bring our requests to you and leave it there. In Jesus name. Amen. In the book of Acts, the apostle Paul in his missionary journeys was in the city of Athens, Greece. And Paul was waiting on some friends to arrive. In Acts 17 and verse 16 this is what our text says, “Now while Paul waited for them at Athens his spirit was stirred in him when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.” Paul waited for them at Athens. His spirit within him was stirred by the Holy Ghost when he saw the city totally given over to idolatry, false worship. What we have today is a modern-day Athens, Greece in America, a nation given over to idolatry. It doesn't mean that there wasn't a group of righteous people in Athens. There was. Paul was there. But he saw that the public arena, Paul saw that the public life of Athens was counter to what God had commanded his people. It was diametrically opposed because in the Old Testament the Lord condemned idolatry many many times, false gods. What we have come up with today in America is not necessarily a wooden god or a god carved out of stone or a god that's coated with gold, covered with gold. But we have come up with philosophies in this nation and foreigners have brought in their foreign ideas and philosophies and practices that have contaminated the minds of our people. And I have asked the question what is wrong with America? Second thing, what is wrong with the White House and I covered that briefly last time. In that, in the Old Testament at least fifteen times the kings of Israel were condemned by God for their personal sin and then it said “and he made Israel to sin.” In other words, he legalized, the King legalized sin among the common people. And God held that leader responsible. Don't you think that God is going to hold our leadership responsible starting at the White House, President, Vice President, cabinet, etc. These are not pleasant things to talk about. It would be a lot more pleasant to talk about how to keep a sweet spirit when you're driving on the interstate or how to have a nice attitude towards your boss or how to get along and be happy in your home with your spouse, make things real smooth and ingratiate yourself. The preacher ingratiates himself with the congregation. That's not the spirit that I find among the old prophets. The old prophets had a message of condemnation but they also had a message of restoration. We haven't gotten to that point yet. But first of all, they had a message of condemnation. Today on this program I ask the question what is wrong with the courthouse, with the Supreme Court? Nine men against God or nine people these days against God, men and women, when they feel that they can usurp their morality or their interpretation of morality on a nation. We turn to the book of Jeremiah, chapter five and we read three verses that seems to encapsulate what's taking place in the leadership of our nation including the courthouse whether it be the statehouse, the Circuit Court or the Supreme Court in Washington DC. We, we all know that in 1973 they passed Roe versus Wade to legalize abortion, the killing of innocent babies, and since then Molach has had his way in America. And just like when Cain killed his brother Abel, the Lord told Cain your brother's blood cries unto me from the ground. I believe that the blood of these babies are crying unto God for justice because so many people have aborted these babies because of their own selfishness. They want to live and have sexual pleasure without responsibility. But Roe versus Wade is not the only decision that the Supreme Court has passed down to help corrupt this nation. What about outlawing the Ten Commandments in the Kentucky public schools in 1980? In 2003 struck down a law in Texas prohibiting sodomy and even outlawed the display of the Ten Commandments from a courthouse in Kentucky in 2005. And lower courts have even made worse decisions concerning parental rights, taking the rights away from parents and endorsing same-sex marriage in separate, several states. The courts have totally disregarded the advice, the godly advice of men of God, pastors and accepted the advice of psychologists, ungodly psychologists, psychiatrists, sociologists whatever that is. When our original thirteen colonies was based upon the Scriptures and upon godly principles and in recognition of Jesus Christ as being the king of this nation. Connecticut, 1776, for as much as the free fruition of such liberties and privileges as humanity, civility, and Christianity call for as is due to every man in his place and portion. What about Delaware? “Do profess faith in God the Father and in Jesus Christ, his only son, and in the Holy Ghost, one God blessed forever. And I do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by divine inspiration.” That's a quote from their Constitution. What about Georgia? The Representatives shall be chosen out of the Protestant religion. Maryland, every person appointed to office shall subscribe to a declaration of his belief in the Christian religion. Massachusetts, the support and maintenance of public Protestant teachers of piety, piety, religion and morality in every denomination of Christians shall be equal under the law, and every elected official to take an oath that they believe in the Christian religion. New Hampshire, every denomination of Christian sects shall be equal under the law. New Jersey, all Protestant groups equal under the law. New York, recognize that Christianity was part of the common law. North Carolina, no individual denying God, the Protestant religion, or the Old and New Testaments hold office. Pennsylvania, 1776, the one swearing-in believed in God and the Scriptures Old and New. South Carolina, 1778, the Christian Protestant religion is deemed to be the established religion of the state. Vermont, every elected official must swear an oath to profess faith in God and in the Old and New Testaments and be from the Protestant religion. Virginia, 1776, freedom of religious worship of God of the Christian faith. And do you know that the Law schools of Yale and Harvard, the Law schools of Yale and Harvard started by preachers as seminaries for training pastors. They received a degree in Bible, Bible doctrine, Bible law, then they could apply that to the common law in their practice. The law books were written by Christian jurists from Britain like Coke and Blackstone that reinforced the preeminence of God's law to govern a people. This all changed folks. When did this change? This may surprise you but this changed during the time of the so-called Civil War in Congress between 1860 and 1865 with a coercion of the ungodly parties of the North controlled by bankers and infidels and the radical club of Boston and other groups of the Unitarian faith or no faith. But they were not Christians of the Reformation theology. Some may not like what I'm saying on this program today. Some may be offended. But we must face the facts that our nation turned a corner, a moral, spiritual, financial corner during the Lincoln administration, and it's never come back, never returned. Now I know that some of you are Lincoln worshipers but I do not see him as an American hero. I do not see him through the eyes of Steven Spielberg's movie or any other movie. I see him through the eyes of honest historians. But it was not only him but the radicals that were in this nation that were aiming and fighting for the destruction of the Constitution. What's wrong with the courthouse? This is what it says in Jeremiah chapter five and verse 29, 30 and 31. “Shall I not visit for these things saith the Lord. Shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and terrible thing is committed in the land. The prophets prophesy falsely and the priest bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so. And what will you do in the end thereof.” What's wrong with the courts? They kicked God out of our national life. They said, “We don't need you anymore.” They took the commandment, the Ten Commandments out of the school, took the Bible out of the school, took prayer out of the school. And there's men, possibly you may, you may even know some of them, teachers that had a Bible on the desk in their school and they were sued by the ACLU and that lawsuit was upheld by a local or Circuit Court. Or prayed with their football team or basketball team in school and they were fired. And then we ask, why do we have the violence in the school? Why are teachers being raped? Why are kids killing themselves, taking guns to school, knives and hurting one another or committing suicide inside the school? Where was God during the Columbine massacre? I know where he was at. He was on the outside of the school looking in because he wasn't allowed to be in the school in the life of the children. It's our leadership and I keep going back to I Kings to the fifteen statements that were made by God Almighty concerning the leadership of that day, ancient Israel, and they made Israel to sin. God is going to hold the judges of the Supreme Court, local courts, Circuit Courts responsible for their decisions in giving license for the common people to sin and creating a bed of iniquity in our nation, a climate of rebellion against God. What is wrong with the Statehouse? Well, there's a lot to say. I'm just hitting the highlights. Mainly men go to the Statehouse in your state or in Washington, D.C. that have no Christian convictions. They're basing their campaign upon false promises and they're basing their aspirations just strictly upon human values, not godly Biblical values. In fact, they probably have a secular worldview instead of a Christian world view. But 3 priorities seems to consume so many men when they go to Washington. Number one, special interests. The promises they made on the campaign trail seemed to be forgotten and the electorate that elected them takes a second position to the lobbyist of special interests. Then they take that lawmaker, gives him gifts of money, free trips, tickets to sporting events and he thinks he's on top of the world. And he gives his allegiance and vote to special interests. Number two, re-election, always looking for the next election. That's a politician and spending their time and effort raising money for the next election. A statesman doesn't do that. A statesman is concerned about the nation, not the next election. And number three, party devotion. They dare not vote against their party consensus. They just simply will not do that. I want to read you a poem written by Josiah Gilbert Holland. He said this. Wanted. God give us men. A time like these demands strong minds, great hearts, true faith and ready hands. Men whom the lust of office does not kill. Men whom the spoils of office cannot buy. Men who possess opinions and a will. Men who have honor. Men who will not lie. Men who can stand before a demagogue and damn his treacherous flatteries without winking. Tall men. Sun crowned who live above the fog in public duty and in private thinking for a while the rabble with their thumb worn creeds, their large professions and their little deeds, mingle in selfish strife. Lo, freedom weeps. Wrong rules the land and waiting justice sleeps.” unquote Josiah Gilbert Holland, 1819 - 1891. We need men, men of God in the White House, in the statehouse, in the courthouse. I love my country folks, but I hate the wickedness that is in our national institutions, starting with the White House, the courthouse, the statehouse, the schoolhouse, the movie house and every other institution that has corrupted itself. TIH 552 The Bible says let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. And that's what we want to do as we begin this program today is to praise the Lord Jesus Christ. Let everything that hath breath, I mean mankind, birds, animals. Let everything that is breathing recognize the kingship of the Lord Jesus Christ because he is our Savior. He is our Savior. He is our baptizer in the Holy Ghost. He is the living Word. He is our soon coming King. He is our very life. He is our Creator. Everything so we want to give total allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ. It's like what was said during the Revolutionary War, we have no sovereign but God and no King but Jesus. No sovereign but God. No King but Jesus. And that quote is accredited to Reverend Jonas Clark who was a preacher who helped inspire the men on the front lines. God give us men like that today that will make that commitment, commitment publicly before our public officials. Hallelujah! Let us pray. Our heavenly Father, we thank you again for your Word, which is immutable, your Spirit that is always with us. We thank you Lord for answering the cries of our heart and Lord save our nation from utter destruction. Save our children. Save our homes. Lord what you want to be destroyed you destroy it. Shake everything. Everything that can be shaken is now being shaken but Lord, you went on to say that which can stand or be preserved will be preserved and that's the body of Christ. True Christians, not the phony church but the genuine body of Christ. Thank you Lord for touching the sick and the weak among us healing them with a miracle from heaven in Jesus name for your glory. Amen and amen. We've been talking about what is wrong with America and I want to say once again there's a lot wrong with America but it's our country. We love our country. We grieve to see what's happened to our country. We grieve in spirit. In our spirit we grieve because so many people have called up and expressed that same attitude. They love their country but it's not the country we grew up in. It's not the same. Our address may be the same. The name of the city may be the same or the name of the state. It's still on the same place on the map but it's not the same country. What is wrong with America? And I've divided up this subject. What is wrong with the White House? What is wrong with the courthouse? What is wrong with the State house? What is wrong with the American home? The American home, even the American Christian home has abdicated its godly authority to raise its children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Let's read Deuteronomy chapter six, Deuteronomy six. “Now these are the commandments, the statutes and the judgments which the Lord your God commanded to teach you that ye might do them in the land whither you go to possess it. That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments which I command thee, thou and thy son and thy sons son all the days of thy life and that thy days may be prolonged. Hear therefore O Israel and observe to do it that it may be well with thee and that ye may increase mightily as the Lord God of your fathers hath promised thee in the land that floweth with milk and honey.” To start out with, and we want to read some more verses, but to start out with I want to say this. God gave certain commandments. I know some preachers won't like this because they say the law is totally done away with. And I want to explain that. When you throw out law you throw out personal discipline and social order. The law that was done away with at Calvary was the law of ordinances, sacrifices, when to worship, how to worship, where to worship, all the blood sacrifices, the offering of meal offerings and flour offerings or meal or drink offerings and having a priest as an intermed, a, as a person to go-between the people and God, and going into the holy place at nine a.m. and three p.m. everyday, and anything that would do with atonement and the covering of sin. Because that law was done away with and Jesus now is our Melchezidec priest. He took care of the sin problem. All forgiveness comes through him. The blood sacrifice that he made was totally complete on Calvary. But there were four divisions of the law. The law of ordinances talked about atonement, worship and so forth. Then there were commandments, moral commandments. Then there were statutes and judgments. Now there's statutes on the books of your local county, city, state, and you obey them, but when your preacher stands up in the pulpit and says the law of God is gone and over with. What is he doing? He's giving license to sin because sin is a transgression of the law. Sin, that's what the Bible tells us in the New Testament. Sin is a transgression of the law. What law? The Old Testament Law. And God gave moral commandments “Thou shalt not worship any other God.” “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” “Thou shalt not steal.” “Thou shalt not covet.” Those laws are still in effect and others. But God made laws for society to be governed by. Those are called statutes and judgments. Those laws are still in effect. It's for the health, the welfare of the people as a whole, dietary laws, penal laws, monetary laws, laws concerning marriage and war and foreign relations and who to marry and who not to marry, and etc. etc. And the law its extensive. What's wrong with the American home? It's basically the fault of the church, the modern church, which in many cases has failed. That may be shocking to hear but the modern church as a whole has failed to support the American home. Why do I say that? Because even Sunday school, the idea of Sunday school, the idea of youth groups has given the impression to the Christian parents that they no longer have to train their children. The church will do it. The Sunday school will do it. Well, the church and the Sunday school has failed. The youth groups have failed. Why do we have such a high attrition rate of young people leaving the church when they're twelve and fourteen years old? Something is wrong. Now you might say well I, I go to a church that's got, five thousand people. Boy, it's exciting! It's wonderful. I mean we've got a lot going. We've got a good music team. What are they learning about the law of God, who to marry, who not to marry. What are they learning about finances, how to control their money? What are they learning about the Christian Biblical worldview? It's the parental responsibility to train the children in the principles of Christ and the law of God. Now going back to Deuteronomy, chapter six. The Lord said I want you to hear Israel and absorb, observe my laws, my commandments that it may be well with thee that you may increase not in money but in population as the Lord thou God of thy fathers hath promised thee in the land that flows with milk and honey. Otherwise you'll lose it. Hear O Israel the Lord our God is one Lord. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, with all thy soul and with all thy might. And these are the duties of parents starting in verse six, “And these words which I command thee this day shall be in thine heart and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shall talk of them when thou sittest in thy house and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou riseth up and thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand and thou shalt be, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes and thou shall write them upon the post of thy house and on thy gates.” One piece of evidence that shows that the public school in this nation has failed and that the home has failed is simply the proliferation of Christian schools. And thank God for many Christian schools but many of them have turned liberal and the primary responsibility of training children in the Christian faith belongs to the parents. Parents have lost their authority and they've lost it in the home. Homeschooling thank God has come back in America. And I've been told that homeschooling has increased many times over because many parents have realized this is my responsibility. I’ve abdicated my responsibility when I send my child off to a public school, ungodly environment, possibly a dangerous environment. You don't know who those teachers are, what they believe and as the nation as the home goes, so goes the nation. Now I have a quote around here somewhere, that I'd like to read. The great orator and great commoner by the name of William Jennings Bryan made this statement. “The teachings of Christ applied to the structure and the administration of government as well as to the life and conduct of the individual” unquote William Jennings Bryan. Now it's the home, it's the school, it's the government and so many even Christians feel that the teachings of Christ should not be in the public arena because they don't understand, what you train or who you train or who you don't train your home is going to affect what takes place in the public arena and the next generation. What is wrong with the American home? Then what is wrong with the schoolhouse? And I have mentioned this so many times. What is wrong with the schoolhouse? We have just simply asked God, we've asked Jesus Christ, not only asked but our public officials have demanded that Jesus Christ leave the schoolhouse. We no longer need you is their attitude. But folks America is experiencing a rude awakening, a very rude awakening as a result of progressive education, John Dewey and his ilk, John Dewey and his teaching of sociology getting away from the three R's. Now some of you educators out there know a lot more about this than I do. But my heart grieves for our children and our grandchildren. And I believe many of you can say the same thing. In Jeremiah chapter 8 I want to read these words. . Jeremiah eight and eighteen it says this. “When I would comfort myself against sorrow my heart is faint within me. Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country. Is not the Lord in Zion? Is not her King in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images and with strange vanities. The harvest is passed, the summer is ended and we are not saved.” Primarily that was speaking of the nation of Judah, ancient Judah. It comes to a place in the deterioration and the destruction of a nation where you go beyond the point of no return. I want to make a statement right here that you may disagree with me. I'm not finished reading in Jeremiah. But I want to turn to the book of Amos chapter number nine. Now I've mentioned many things wrong with America. Our politicians are not the answer. They have no answer. Don't look to them to fix the financial crisis. They can kick the can down the road but that's it. The World Bank is involved. The Federal Reserve Bank is involved. It's not American. It's a corporation, a separate corporation not controlled by Congress. They can do anything they want. They can create inflation, deflation. They can put money in the economy, take it out, whatever they want to do. Control depressions. Just have no, no confidence in government. But the body politic of this nation, the institution what I mean by the body politic is the White House. That is the executive branch. The statehouse the legislative branch. The courthouse, the judicial branch. The educational system, the unions, many other institutions. The homogenized, legalized, pasteurized church, denominationalized, institutionalized church. That's what I mean by the body politic of this nation. It's the political, industrial, military, educational, religious, complex is going to be destroyed. It's going down. In Amos chapter nine verse eight, “Behold the eyes of the Lord are upon the sinful kingdom, talking about ancient Israel, became so vile, corrupt in all of its ways just like America. Even though we're God's chosen people, even though Western European man are the true Israelites of God genetically, that is more reason why we bear the judgment of a holy God. Because where much is given, much is expected. We were given the law of God. We've broken the covenant and we're going to suffer for it. It says, Amos 9:8, “Behold the eyes of the Lord are upon the sinful kingdom.” Just apply this to the Western nations, America, Canada, Great Britain and other Western nations that once had the gospel which flourished. The Lord goes on to say through Amos, “I will destroy it from off the face of the earth saving or except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob.” God will preserve his people. That's what He's saying. He's going to destroy the body politic. He's going to destroy the industrial, religious, political, educational, commercial complex but He's going to save His people Jacob, the remnant. “For lo I will command and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations like as corn is sifted in a sieve yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. But going back to Jeremiah he says, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended and we are not saved. For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt,” am I grieved that's what Jeremiah is saying. “I am black. Astonishment hath taken hold on me.” Black meaning disturbed, extremely disturbed, mourning in sackcloth and ashes. That's what that means emotionally. “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?” There is healing. It's in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our balm in Gilead. You were a rich spiritual nation at one time. The God that planted you here in America and brought those Pilgrims over here and the Puritans that God is still alive today. Yes, there is a balm in Gilead. Is there no physician there? Yes, Jesus is our physician. He's still standing by waiting for his wayward people to come back to him, a wayward nation to come back to him to be healed. Why then is not the daughter of the, the health of the daughter of my people recovered? Because we've broken the covenant. But God is going to judge this nation. I not only know that but you know that. You know that. I don't have to tell you but God punished Sodom and Gomorrah for that sin of sodomy. You think He's going to let us get by when our president, vice president, our courts, our statehouses, even some of our ministers condone lesbianism and gayism or alternate lifestyle or whatever they may call it? It's perversion. It's sinfulness. It's corruption. It's iniquity in high places. God's keeping a record, an accurate record. If God judged Sodom and Gomorrah, He will judge America. Look at the natural disasters that have taken place, man-made disasters. You think those were by accident? Look at the drought that's taken place in the middle of this country. But Jesus Christ remember is still on the throne. He's still the King of Kings. He's still the Lord of Lords. He's still the governor among the nations. He is still reigning in glory and power and great authority. God bless you. Hold the faith until next time in Christ's name. Amen.
