Saviors on Mount Zion

This series is on the subject of Zion. Not only Zion, but there’s a phrase in the Bible that’s called Saviors on Mount Zion, Then we see the 144,000 that are mentioned in the book of Revelation standing with the Lamb on Mount Zion. And as we look at the Scriptures, we begin to put these things together for our understanding because this is a powerful subject. It extends all the way from the Old Testament through the New Testament into the future. I pray, Lord by your Holy Spirit, lead us in proper understanding of this wonderful subject.

In a lot of teaching these days concerning Zion, they’re applying Zion to that old physical location in Jerusalem that exists there today. “But ye are come unto Mount Zion,” not Mount Sinai, but Mount Zion. This is a new covenant. This is a new relationship, “but you are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem,” not the earthly Jerusalem. The church, the body of Christ, needs to get its eyes off Mount Sinai in Palestine and get its eyes on the true Mount Zion.

Isaiah 59:20 “The Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord,” Prophetically Jeremiah chapter three it says in verse 14, “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion.” He’s not talking about leading two people or one person, one of a city, two of a family to the old location over there in old Jerusalem. No, this is a high calling of God in Christ. This is a position paid for by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus, the Redeemer as Isaiah said in chapter 59, a Redeemer who came to Zion.

Matthew says in chapter 21 and verse 5, “Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.” Behold, thy King cometh, daughter of Zion.” It’s a people not a physical location. It's not talking about that location anymore. It's talking about a people that have been called to a position of restoration and training for kingdom rulership. We are following the Lamb whithersoever He goeth and I pray that I can be and you can be one of the ones standing on Mount Zion with the Lamb to proclaim victory and a declaration that He is now the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
