![]() Revelation Series Final Series - Ordinarily the concepts that are taught concerning the Books of Daniel and Revelation are all bad, negative, tribulation, hardship, persecution, murder, martyrdom, the antichrist, the false prophet, the beast, everything that would be frightening to an individual. This is generally the way the Book of Revelation is presented. It's ordinarily taught that from chapter four and verse one on is all crammed into a short period of seven years called the Tribulation. This has become ingrained in the minds of so many Christian people and there are programs, seminars, videos, audiotapes, and workbooks that just go on and on concerning this concept. Men have been made millionaires by selling books with fictitious accounts of the Book of Revelation. But I want to be honest with you, that as we approach this book there have been some great minds that have gone on before us to help us understand this book. Currently there are three popular viewpoints, the preterist view, the historicist view, the futurist view. Follow us through this often misunderstood area of Bible prophecy. Welcome once again to Truth in History as we continue our study in the book of Revelation. We have reached chapter number twenty one and it's a very, to me a very exciting and interesting part of this book because what it does it shows to us in this revelation, it shows to us more or less the apex, the climax of the plan and the purpose of God on the earth. And as we go into this chapter, chapter twenty one and also into chapter twenty two I think we'll discover some very interesting things and the nature, the true nature of what people have called heaven for so many years. Now before we go into the text itself, I want to say that Christianity as a whole, traditional Christianity and ministers, pastors, evangelists, laymen, for years and years, we have talked about heaven and talked about going there. And we have conjured up in our minds, Christianity, Christians as a whole has conjured up in their minds what heaven is going to be like. And I don't want to be offensive. That's not my purpose but several men have said that they had visions of heaven. And I have listened to them tell their visions and listened closely to see what that description portrayed in that vision or that dream was really like. But sadly to say, I have never heard of one who had that vision of heaven to match Revelation 21 and 22. Generally the visions of heaven have been ethereal. They have been what we have always heard, our thoughts, our preconceived ideas what heaven is going to be like. And usually it's big mansions. And one man said he went down the street and he saw mansion after mansion with different names and he recognized the names of people that he knew and each one had a different mansion. And walking down streets that were paved with gold and stopped and drank some water out of the river of life and running around and meeting one another that you knew, people that you knew on earth. And also it's ordinarily pictured as one big long church service. But that's not the description given in Revelation 21 and 22. Now I realize, I realize that I'm going against the grain of tradition. I'm going against the grain of sentimentalism, of Christian emotionalism, and I'm going against the grain of what a lot of people currently believe about heaven and it becomes very emotional and very sentimental because well I don't want to be offensive but the, the phrases that are used is “mama is there, papa is there waiting for me looking over the balconies of heaven wanting me to come join them,” but that's not in the Scripture. That's not Bible and Christianity as a whole especially in the last one hundred years with a lot of southern gospel music songs that has actually determined our theology, but songwriters should not determine the theology of the church. Scripture and scripture alone should reveal and determine the doctrines of the Christian church.
So as we approach chapter twenty one and we have already covered several points several verses in this chapter, but I want to start reading at verse one and we'll kind of get the, the general nature of this place that we call heaven. And is it a place that we go to or is it something that the Lord is building right now? In chapter twenty one verse one it says, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away and there was no more sea.” I think I mentioned this before on a previous program but it says a new heaven and a new earth. The word heaven often times used symbolically in Scripture represents governments or ruling authorities and earth represents society at large. It doesn't necessarily mean that planet Earth is going to be totally obliterated and removed and God's going to make a new earth. If he makes a new Earth, why doesn't he make a new Mars or some other planet? But the whole structure of government is going to be changed. That's what that means. Because right now we Americans living in this country, we know quite well, we're quite familiar with political corruption and it's in the White House. It's in the State house. It's in every form every institution of our society. And it's just society is just rife with corruption. It's, it's political chicanery but that's going to change one of these days when the government of God comes to this earth. Verse number two, “And I saw, and I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband and I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, behold, the tabernacle of God is with men. And he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God.” This city that John saw is coming down from heaven. First, I said that this is not the picture, Revelation 21 and 22 is not the picture of our preconceived ideas of this planet that we call heaven. And ordinarily the traditional way or the traditional belief to get to this heaven is through means of the rapture, is to fly away to another planet. Heaven is not going to be on another planet. Heaven is not going to be on another planet. Second of all, this city, this Holy City, is not going to be in old Jerusalem. This Temple of God is not going to be a rebuilt Jewish Temple in the old city of Jerusalem in Palestine. Because I seriously doubt if another Jewish Temple is even going to be rebuilt. I realize that goes against the grain of a lot of teaching that's on television and in pulpits but let's take the Word of God and let's believe it instead of making up things that were concocted a hundred and or back in 1830 and following concerning the rapture and the restoration of the Jewish people to old Palestine and rebuilding the Temple over there and animal sacrifice. Those are man-made ideas. You see, it's Christ in us, that's the hope of glory. It's not the building of a physical Temple on the earth. It's the manifestation of the Spirit of God, of the Word of God and the Christ in his saints that's going to make up this city. The nature of this city is the nature of a bride because it says as a bride adorned for her husband.
Where does the concept of the bride coming in? The concept of the bride goes back to the Old Testament in Isaiah chapter fifty four. And we read these words in Isaiah fifty four. The Lord had a bride and that bride was national Israel. It was not just the Jews because the word Jew is a contraction of the word Judah and Judah was only one tribe. And among that one tribe of Judah there were good figs and bad figs. And some figs that were bad the Lord cast out. They're not his people. So every Jewish person cannot claim direct descendency or ancestry back to Judah. That's another subject within itself. And I know I, I walk on controversial ground sometimes when I say these things but the church, the body of Christ is so full with tradition and full of ideals that were man-made that we must correct these concepts, even though they may sound revolutionary. We must speak the truth of God. So who is the bride? The bride is national Israel. It's not the church. The church is his body according to the apostle Paul in his epistles. The church is the body of Christ but the bride of Christ is national Israel, all twelve tribes. Revelation, not Revelation but Isaiah chapter fifty four it says, “Sing old barren thou that didst not bare, break forth into singing.” He's talking about national Israel that was cast away or divorced in the Assyrian captivity of 721 B.C. “And cry aloud thou that didst not trevail with child, for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife.” Well the married wife was the southern kingdom of Judah and the prophet is saying that the northern kingdom of Israel is going to produce more children than the southern kingdom of Judah. “Enlarge the place of thy tent.” This is a population increase is what it's talking about. “Enlarge the place of thy tent and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations, spare not, lengthen thy cords and strengthen thy stakes.” Now what about this population explosion? That's the promise that God gave Abraham that his seed, his offspring is going to be like the stars of heaven, and going to be like the sand on the seashore. This all goes together. Now let me shock some of you right here. It may anger some of you but the Anglo-Saxon people that crossed the Caucasus Mountains are the true Israelites of God. Why are we called Caucasians? Because our ancestors crossed the Caucasus Mountains. Look up and locate the place of the Caucasus Mountains on a map just north of Turkey in that area of the world, crossed those mountains and migrated north and west into northwestern Europe, British Isles. Then we came over to North America. We are the true Israelites of God. Christianity is among us. Christianity was our national religion for hundreds of years. In fact, Northwestern Europe the nations there were called Christendom because that was the center of Christianity and we out of our people has come the English Bible and that translated into other languages, practically every language on the earth, and disseminated and spread to all the other peoples of the earth because we're the instruments of God, the instruments of God. And the Jewish people that are ordinarily claimed by so many ministers as being strictly the Israelite people is a mistaken idea. Their population is only somewhere around fifteen or sixteen million people whereas the Caucasian people are many many more. You see, because it says that the children of the desolate wife, the wife that was divorced in 721 is going to have more children than the married wife or Judah, the nation of Judah, the tribe of Judah that was still intact when Jesus came. So it says in verse number three, “For thou shall break forth on the right-hand and on the left and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles and make the desolate places to be inhabited.” And then it says in verse four, “Fear not for thou shalt not be ashamed neither be thou confounded for thou shalt not be put to shame for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth and shall not remember the reproach of thou widowhood anymore for thy Maker is thy husband.” And then we read over in the book of Jeremiah, Jeremiah, chapter three we read these verses. It says in chapter three and verse number eight, “And I saw when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery.” See that's committing adultery is unfaithfulness within a marriage contract, within a marriage covenant. “I had put her away and given her a bill of divorce.” That talks about marriage and the breaking up of a marriage. “Yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not but went and played the harlot.” Verse number fourteen Jeremiah chapter three, “Turn O backsliding children saith the Lord for I am married unto you.” There's the marriage, it's not the church. It's the house of Jacob/Israel. Verse fifteen or verse fourteen, “And I will take you one of a city and two of a family and I will bring you to Zion and I will give you pastors according to mine heart which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” That's why light, gospel light and understanding and, and scriptural knowledge is known among our people and then spread abroad throughout the whole earth. This is the beginning just laying the foundation for Revelation chapter twenty one.
Now we have a magazine that we would like to send to you if you would so desire to have it. We will send it to you absolutely free of charge. It's called Truth in History. And there are, there's a list of materials that we offer through this ministry on the back cover and we will send this to you free of charge, if you would just call us or write us or send us an e-mail. And our purpose is to exhort and to enlighten and to teach the Word of God because this ministry is a ministry where the Word of God is not bound. It is not bound. It is not bound by tradition and we believe the fundamentals. We believe in the new birth, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the gifts of the Spirit, divine healing. We believe all those wonderful things. A life of holiness, but we also believe that God has a great big plan and that plan is being revealed in the earth and that Jesus Christ shall come someday as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and possess his kingdom right here on this Earth and that's what Revelation chapter twenty one and twenty two is all about. Now I have written a commentary. I've tried my best to put this together. I know it's not complete because we learn things as we go along and so therefore everything cannot be in this book because I've learned several things since I published this book. But for a ministry offering of twelve dollars we will send you this book, The Book of Revelation. Also this map The Reformation of Israel in the West and we will mail you these two items postage-paid for twelve dollars. We try to hold the cost of our material down where it is reasonable and we're not trying to make a big profit off of this material because that's not our purpose. Profit is not our purpose. It's the dissemination of truth. That's our purpose in this ministry and on this program.
So going back to Revelation chapter twenty one. It's the bride, the bride of Christ, National Israel, all twelve tribes and it will come clear as we go through these two chapters. Now it's also called the Holy City and it's really interesting because when we go back to the book of Hebrews it's absolutely amazing how the Bible fits together. What did, what did Abraham look for and what is a city in Hebrews chapter eleven and verse number ten talking about Abraham? “By faith Abraham looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” Now do you think that Abraham, do you think that Abraham was looking for a literal city made out of brick and mortar and stone? Do you think he was looking for an actual place that God came down and put this together? No. What is a city? A city is a society. A city is a body politic and in a body politic there’s government. There's structure. There's law. There's rules. Certain people are allowed in the city. Certain people are not allowed and it tells us in Revelation 21:8 those that are not allowed in the city, the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, warmongers, sorcerers, idolaters, liars, etc. They're not allowed. And in a society there's children being born. There's mothers raising their children. There's a mother and father raising families. There's men working and earning and producing and interaction with other people. That's a city. That's a city and that's what's going to be restored on this Earth. We're moving from Paradise lost to Paradise restored. Folks I want to say this, I want to be an encouragement in saying this. We live in a, in a crime-ridden nation, political corruption, etc. But there is going to come a Golden Dawn on this Earth and for this nation. When Jesus Christ comes, possesses his kingdom and rids this earth of everything that is offensive and the glory of the Lord covers the earth as the waters cover the sea. It's going to be heaven right here on this earth. It's going to be paradise. It's going to be the kingdom of God and Jesus Christ, the King of Israel, all twelve tribes, all thirteen tribes and the perfect government. No more corruption. There is coming a golden day for this nation and all the whole earth because all the other people shall flow into the city of God and learn the ways of the Lord and go back and teach their people agriculture and government and science and faith and, and proper religion which is Christianity. And this is going to be heaven on earth right here on this Earth. We don't have to fly away anywhere. It's Jesus Christ coming. The Bible tells us this New Jerusalem is coming down from heaven because heaven is its source. Heaven is the place of its design in the mind of the Almighty. It's going to be the city that Abraham looked for and praise God, he will find it and we will find it. We're marching to Zion the city of the great God. God bless you and may you be encouraged in the coming and in the faith and in the Word of God until next time. God bless you.
Part 65 TIH 542
Welcome once again to Truth in History and I bless each one of you who has turned, tuned in to the program today and with your Bibles, open to chapter twenty one of the book of Revelation. Because this can be a very revealing, very enlightening subject concerning the New Age to come, concerning the plan of God, the consummation of the plan and the purpose of God on the earth. And we started talking about Revelation twenty one in a previous program. And we talked about the identification of the bride. The bride of Christ is national Israel. And in Revelation 21:2 he said it's a city. This restoration of true Israel, all twelve tribes not just one, is a city. It's a society. It's a body politic etc. And he calls it New Jerusalem. Its source is from God. Then he talks about its adorned as a bride and I read last time Isaiah chapter fifty four verses one through five and Jeremiah chapter three and two or three verses there identifying the bride. But there's a very interesting verse, a very interesting verse in the book of John and this is a subject that is rarely mentioned in Christian teaching and Christian theology. But in the book of John chapter three the account is concerning the ministry of John the Baptist. And this is what it says in verse twenty five and following, “Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying and they came unto John and said unto him, Rabbi, He that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, that's Jesus, behold the same baptizes and all men come to him. John answered and said, a man can receive nothing except it be given him from heaven. Ye yourselves bear me witness that I said I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom but the friend of the bridegroom which standeth and heareth him rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. This my joy therefore is fulfilled.” What is John the Baptist saying? He is pointing to Jesus Christ because he said I am not the Christ. I came to give witness to Jesus, the man that I baptized, he is the Christ but he's more than the Christ. He is the bridegroom, and he's come to be rejoined with his bride national Israel. He says I am a friend of the bridegroom. Now what does the friend or what does or what is the ministry of the friend of the bridegroom? What does that ministry comprise? It's to announce the coming of the bridegroom. Behold the bridegroom cometh, Matthew chapter 25. Well, who is announcing the coming of the bridegroom to marry his bride because John says he that hath the bride is the bridegroom. Jesus is the bridegroom but the friend of the bridegroom which stands and hears, listens for the voice of the bridegroom, rejoices because of the bridegroom's voice. And then he said this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He says John is identifying himself as the friend of the bridegroom.
Well I believe that the bridegroom today is a company of men. It's a company of men proclaiming behold the bridegroom cometh go ye out to meet him. And we see this in Matthew twenty five and verse six. Now isn't it interesting this parable of the ten virgins. Why 10? Because there were ten tribes in the northern kingdom of Israel. The Lord just didn't pick the number ten at random. He knew what he was talking about and he said out of those ten virgins or ten Israelite tribes of the north five virgins were wise and five were foolish. And there was a cry made, and at midnight there was a cry made. Well who makes the cry? The friend of the bridegroom, the friend company, the company of friends and I believe that there's a company of men on the earth today that would be considered as John the Baptist considered himself the friend of the bridegroom saying, behold the bridegroom cometh, be ready go ye out to meet him. He's coming to a wedding and he's coming to restored Israel. And I know that some of the things that I'm saying may be foreign to you but I want you to catch a picture, catch a glimpse of the great big plan of God starting with Adam in paradise and then Paradise lost through sin and then murder entered the world and violence and we're still in that stage or that age of violence and rebellion against God but there's going to be a golden daybreak that's going to be paradise restored on this Earth and Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Glory to God. He's coming. He's coming again in Majesty and in glory. And the prophet Isaiah says that the glory of the Lord is going to cover this Earth as the waters cover the sea. And it's already started. It started on the day of Pentecost but it's going to pick up speed so to speak, and the glory of God folks don't despair. I know you look at the White House and you look at our statehouse in Washington, D.C. and you look at other areas of government and you say, my, my how, how much worse can it get? Look at the filth that's coming out of Hollywood. How much worse can it get? It may get worse but there is coming a victor and we're going to be part of that company and we're proclaiming the bridegroom is coming. Let's go back to Revelation twenty one. Let me give you a list. I want to read you a list as I comment on this list concerning this city. Number one I've talked about the bride. Her relationship is the Lamb's wife. This is twenty one and verse nine, “And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues and talked with me saying, come hither and I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife, a restored marriage with national Israel, all twelve tribes, her relationship, the Lamb's wife. “And to behold her.” We only understand and behold this truth by Spirit. “And he carried,” verse number ten, “And He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me that great city the holy Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God.” Number three, her function and activity is a great city. It says a great city, the holy Jerusalem and it's using Jerusalem as symbolic of the city that was established in the days of David, actually before that King David, when it became the city of God and the Lord said I'm going to put my name there. Well do you think his name is in old Jerusalem now? It's not because in Matthew 24 when Jesus walked out of that temple the glory departed also. He said I'm going to destroy this place and I'm going to destroy it according to Luke nineteen and I think it's verse forty one that says they did not know the day of their visitation and he was the visitor so it's not old Jerusalem as much as we hear that from preachers. It's not old Jerusalem going to be restored. This is a new government, a new city, a new earth. So number three, her function and her activity is a great city and I define the city as a body politic, a form of government, structure, law, a Constitution and also a society. People marry and babies being born; families being raised. Men at work, factories producing products, agriculture. No more hunger. No more famine. No more disease, no more pestilence, no more war. It's going to be peace on earth. Also its name is not Jerusalem, but it is new Jerusalem. Verse number two and holy Jerusalem, verse number ten holy Jerusalem, it's going to be a holy city and the concept of a city is, goes back to King David when the Lord put his name in that and then it carries through into the spiritual aspect when the apostle Paul says the Jerusalem from above not the one beneath referring to the old literal city and its structure and its Levitical order no that's not it. This one is coming from God. Its character is holy verse number ten. Its condition is new. This is brand-new. This is made of God. Its origin verse two and verse ten is from heaven, its origin. In other words, its designed, its, its designer, its maker, its contractor, its builder is God Almighty by Spirit.
Now how is this going to take place? Jesus said in John chapter fourteen and verse one, John said, John records these words of Jesus and he said this. “Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions. If it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that there where I am, there you may be also.” Do you think that Jesus Christ like we've been told so many times returned back to the heavenly sphere with hammer and nail and two by four, two by sixes and four by four posts building a literal mansion for you? Folks, I don't mean to be offensive, but if you believe that you believe in the tooth fairy also. You'd, you'd believe in Hansel & Gretel. He didn't go up there just to build a mansion for you. He's building it in the Spirit by the Holy Ghost. He's been building it for two thousand years by the Spirit. He's building it in you and in me. You see what Christianity has done, traditional Christianity has taken the plan of God and made it so selfish that Jesus Christ is going back to heaven and he's going to build a mansion for you, then he's going to build one for your wife if she's saved and then build one for your children if they're saved. And then somebody else gets saved and they need a mansion and so he's going to build them a mansion. No. He's building a city in you and in me. That's why he's forming us and taking us from glory to glory, from faith to faith. And there's thousands of saints that have gone before us ever since we'll say the Day of Pentecost that are dead and buried but God put something in them that's going to be part of the city of God. And the, in the resurrection when they'll rise once again and stand up and when we as saints of God are resurrected from this mortal and put on immortality. See, that's going to be part of the city of God.
Well it's a big subject, but let's, let's go back to chapter twenty one but before we go there I would like to mention that I have put together a commentary on the book of Revelation From an Israelite and Historicist Interpretation. And also we would like to send you this map. It's about the Reformation of Israel in the West and for a, for a ministry offering of twelve dollars, that's postage-paid, we will be more than happy to send this to you and we'll send you a little booklet also entitled The Rich Man and Lazarus. And we will also send you a copy of our magazine if you do not have the magazine already. Many of you have already ordered it. Hundreds, thousands of you have ordered this magazine called Truth in History. This is absolutely free. If you have never ordered a magazine from us and there is on the back a list of material that we have, I would urge you to, to call us, write us, or send us an e-mail and we'll send you this magazine and put you on the list absolutely free of charge to receive each subsequent issue. Because we want to share the Word of God. We will not call your home and solicit money. We will not mail you a solicitation letter asking for money. We don't do that. We just believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will supply our needs according to his riches in glory and he has done that. And we appreciate every one of you that has helped us meet the expenses of this ministry and God richly bless you.
But going back to our list of describing this city we stopped on number seven. The origin of this city is from heaven. Then the preparation is like a bride that is being adorned, being made perfect for her husband. This has been in the making for hundreds of years. If you don't think God is working in the earth, my friends take heart. God is working in the earth. Don't be discouraged by the corruption and the trash that is all around us. Don't be discouraged by the political absolute political rot that we see in Washington, D.C. and other places of government and Hollywood and all the corruption that's coming out and the filth. God curse that thing. God has been working. He is working, silently working. The Holy Ghost is working in you and in me preparing us to be a part of that bride. Number ten, the splendor of that glory, that city we find in verse eleven is the glory of God. That's the splendor of this city. Oh, that just is beyond comprehension. The Majesty of restored Israel is going to be his glory among us. His Majesty, His ineffable presence that will be so real in that city, right here on this earth. The chief characteristic of this city, verse eleven, is light, having the glory of God and her light was like unto a stone most precious, a jasper stone, clear as crystal. Number twelve. It's light resembled a most precious stone and what is that stone? It's the jasper stone and in my book I think you'll find it interesting on page one hundred and sixteen I listed the stones of the tribes of Israel out of Exodus chapter 28 and also out of Revelation 21 and when you come in the order of, the birth order of the of the twelve sons of Jacob, starting with Reuben, Simeon, Levi, etc. when you come all the way down, Benjamin was the last son that was born and in the breastplate of the high priest the stones were laid out according to birth order and the last one was a jasper stone. Now what is the significance of this jasper stone? The Jasper stone is significant of the tribe, the jasper stone is significant of the tribe of Benjamin and I want to read you a couple verses out of, first one out of I Kings chapter 11, “And unto his son will I give one tribe that David my servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.” One tribe, the tribe of Benjamin was given to the house of David, the Royal family as a light. So Benjamin, the tribe of Benjamin represents spiritual light and understanding and what is the chief characteristic? What is the light resembling in the New Jerusalem, the adorned bride, this new holy city? The character of Benjamin, the character of the tribe of Benjamin will shine forth in all of its purity. You see it's believed that the apostles were Benjamites. Paul was definitely one because he said he was. He wasn't, he was only a Jew by religion but by tribe Paul was a Benjamite because that's why so much light and understanding came out of the apostle Paul, divine revelation from this man who had come in contact with the Lord Jesus Christ. So we see that the light resembled a stone most precious and that precious stone was a jasper stone representing the tribe of light or the tribe of Benjamin. In other words light, truth. Jesus said you shall know the truth and truth shall set you free. It's truth that sets us free. It's knowing the truth that sets us free and this city is going to be filled with light, understanding, knowledge, no darkness, no hidden mysteries, no esoteric mysteries that puzzle us. It's going to be the glory and majesty of God once again on this earth. It will be paradise restored and I pray that the Lord will enlighten each one of us and encourage us in the Holy Ghost to look forward to that city and to cry behold the bridegroom cometh go ye out to meet him. God bless you.
Part 66 TIH 543
Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy name. And I also bless each one that is watching this program and I pray that you are blessed by this ministry and by the study that we are involved in right now and that is the final chapters of the book of Revelation. And this is to me one of the most enlightening studies, chapters 21 and 22, one of the most enlightening studies that I have come across in years, and as we just let the Bible speak for itself.
Now, I grew up in church, heard sermons on heaven. But I never heard a description of heaven that was comparable to what we see in the Bible. Rather strange but the concept of heaven that we have been given, to me, has terribly distorted the true image that was revealed by Jesus Christ to John. And you know, you hear a lot of people talk about or sing about walking on streets of gold, that type of thing, but what do they mean by that, walking on streets of gold? Why you can, you can have a watch that's gold, big deal. You could have a necklace or own bars of gold. Well what is the meaning of all this and the River of life and so forth? That's what we're digging into in this series concerning these two chapters and I'm moving rather slowly, but I want to get across to each one of us, not just some fairytale heaven on another planet somewhere a billion miles from earth. No, God is concerned about earth. Adam was placed here on the earth. The battle was lost here in the Garden of Eden on the earth. But the battle was won in the Garden of Gethsemane on the earth. Here's where the plan of God is being developed and here is where the manifestation of the sons of God is going to take place as Paul mentions in Romans chapter eight that's going to liberate this Earth from bondage, the bondage of fear, the bondage of death. So I'm giving a list trying to describe clearly this glorious city that is coming down, that is being, that is being made, built, designed, built by God himself in each one of us and it's going to take place on this earth.
And I have listed 43 different things to help us understand the character, the nature of this city and the last one we mentioned was number 12 found in Revelation 21:11, and that is the stone most precious and this glory of God, the city having the glory of God and also her light. You notice it says her because it's the bride, female character, and her light was like a stone most precious, the jasper stone, clear as crystal. And you also mentioned or notice in verse 19 that its first foundation was Jasper, light, an understanding. What did Jesus come to bring us? He come to bring us light, true knowledge of God. In fact he said I am the light of the world. He's going to be the light of the city. You see the knowledge of Christ is light, understanding and you notice the nations on the earth, just as a comparison, the nations on the earth that have more light of the Gospel, more light of Scripture are the more highly developed nations then it goes down from there. So we go to point number 13, the type of stone is Jasper, its first foundation. It's clear; it's pure. Number 14, its construction has a great and high wall. Verse number 12 it had a wall great and high. The construction is a great and high wall and then part of its construction, verse number twelve, twelve gates and names written thereon which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. And that's very interesting because it had a wall. A wall keeps some people in but it also keeps others out. And those that are on the outside of this city are not allowed in. They are listed in verse 8: the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters. liars. They are going to have their part it says in the lake of fire. But it has, this wall has gates and at the gates 12 angels and the names on those gates are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel, which identifies the city as an Israelitish city, not a Jewish city because Judah was only one tribe of the house of Israel, but this has twelve gates and the names of the twelve tribes which would be Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Gad, etc., going on down, Joseph, Benjamin and the others, so it's an Israelitish city so in order to understand the character of this is Israelitish city we actually need to go back to the Old Testament and find out the characteristics of each one of these twelve sons of Jacob that's in chapter 48 and 49 of Genesis that tells us the nature that is going to be brought to perfection, the characteristics, the attributes of each one of these blessings that were given to the twelve sons is going to come to total fruition and perfection in the holy city.
Point number 15. Its design is foursquare. This is verse 16. And the city lieth foursquare. Now the encampment of the Israelites in the Old Testament, the encampment of the Israelites, if I can find it here in this, in this book, the encampment of the Israelites in the Old Testament was foursquare. And Reuben was on the north and these other, these other tribes brigades were encamped round about the city. Let's see, Dan was on the north, excuse me, Dan was on the north. That was a brigade of Dan, Asher and Napthali. A brigade is three or more tribes represented by the Eagle and on the West was the calf. The chief tribe was Ephraim, Manasseh and Benjamin and then on the South was Reuben, the man, with Simeon and Gad and on the east was the lion, the chief tribe meaning or being Judah with Issachar and Zebulon. And there they encamped and when they marched in the, in the wilderness they went in a proper formation, Numbers chapter two. And the stones on the breastplate of the high priest that was also foursquare. So the foursquare concept was designed by God for different purposes and in the middle was the Temple or the tabernacle. Going back to the time of Moses, it was the tabernacle of Moses and therefore that was carried over into the Roman army. And if you'll read the book of Josephus he mentions that the Roman army of his day encamped the same, in the same formation, formation as the ancient Israelites with the officers in the middle, the headquarters in the middle, and then the camps equally divided on all four sides and this was also a military formation so that they were protected on all four sides of their encampment. And it's interesting to see in American history, early American history, a lot of small towns in America were laid out that same way with the courthouse right in the middle, the courthouse square. And that's what we call a quadrangle, a square within a square.
So this is the design of the city. It's an Israelitish city and these are things folks that I could talk about for the whole program on each one of these points going back to the Old Testament and finding the root of these concepts that is, that we are talking about now in Revelation 21. So its design is four square being consistent with the encampment of Israel in the Old Testament. It’s size also in verse 16, “And the city lieth foursquare and the length is as large as the breath, and he measured the city with the reed 12 thousand furlongs. The length and the breath and the height of it are equal.” A furlong is one eighth of a mile or 220 yards. That means it's 1500 miles square, 1500 miles square. Now, what about its limitation? If it, if this city is 1500 miles square, it means that it has borders. There's a starting point and a stopping point. In other words the city of God, this New Jerusalem, is not going to be over the whole earth. It's not going to cover the whole earth. It's going to be fifteen hundred miles square, fifteen hundred miles high, which denotes like a cube. Well, fifteen hundred miles or twelve hundred furlongs as we see in Revelation 15, 16, and 17 and I want to read these verses. “And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city.” In other words, it was measurable. “And the gates thereof and the wall thereof and the city lieth foursquare and the length is as large as the breath. And he measured the city with a reed twelve thousand furlongs and the length and the breath and the height of it are equal.”
Verse seventeen, “And he measured the wall thereof a hundred and forty and four cubits according to the measure of a man,” that is of the angel. And the hundred and forty and four is an Israelitish number. And we see that with the hundred and forty four thousand that followed the Lamb. But 1500 miles, a city 1500 miles squared would be approximately from Dallas to Los Angeles and from Dallas, Texas to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, one city. Can you imagine? I'm using, I'm using these cities so we can get a picture in our head of the size of this city. Now would, if that's a literal measurement, would that fit in old Jerusalem? Would that fit in the Zionist state of Israeli today? Would that fit in all of Palestine? It wouldn't fit because the state of Israeli today, the modern state of Israel, they call it the state of Israel, the Zionist state is about the size of New Jersey. Approximately the size of New Jersey. But the city that I'm describing or John is describing is fifteen hundred miles square, from Dallas to Los Angeles and from Dallas all the way up to Manitoba, Winnipeg in Canada and square that off, that's one huge city. It would fit in North America. It would fit in North America. If this is a literal city, an encampment of restored national Israel, all twelve tribes, it would fit better here than anywhere else being that many Israelites are already here.
Now it has porters at the gates. This is very interesting. It has porters at the gates. Porters was a concept that went all the way back to the temple that Solomon built. They were gatekeepers. They would not let everyone in. Only certain people come in. Others have to stay out. It has gatekeepers or porters twelve Angels and then it has a name over each gate, twelve tribes of Israel and those are the names of the twelve sons of Jacob. And the foundation names. This is verse 14. “And the wall of the city had twelve foundations and in them was the name of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” This is magnificent. This description is actually beyond our mental comprehension. It's not just floating around in heaven somewhere on another planet a million miles from earth, playing a harp, eating cotton candy, and having a good old time, and a church service all day long every day for eternity. No, there's something definite about these, these descriptions that reflects the Old Testament and reflects the consummation, the climax of the whole plan of God, the city that Abraham looked for.
And I want to encourage each one, if you have not ordered this book, The Book of Revelation from an Israelitish and Historicist Interpretation; I would encourage you to order this for a offering of twelve dollars to this ministry. That's postage-paid and I will also send you a map of The Reformation of Israel in the West. This is revolutionary material my friends. And we'll also send you a little booklet entitled The Rich Man and Lazarus. And if you have never ordered our magazine, our free magazine, I would encourage you to order it. It is called Truth in History. On the back there's a list of material that you can order from this ministry and the magazine is absolutely free. If you want to order it just by itself, that'll be fine and we will mail you a copy of each future issue and we will not solicit funds in the magazine, over the phone or letter. We just depend upon the Lord to supply our needs, and he has done that and we thank each one of you for being a part of that supply line. God richly bless each one because we want people to give out of their heart. The Lord loves a cheerful giver. And it's not a threat and neither is it a promise. You know, if you do this God will do so and so. No, your relationship is with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Well back to Revelation chapter 21 talking about this wonderful city, this wonderful city. And the wall construction is also of Jasper, light, truth, understanding and this truth and light and understanding is not just religious. It's scientific. It's governmental. It's agricultural and its religious. The four major areas of any culture, the four major areas of any of civilization. It's scientific, all areas of science, social science, biological science, physical science, also agriculture. There must be agriculture in every society for the people to have something to eat. And then government and then religion. And the light of God, the light of God is going to come out in its full measure without the, the depraved man tampering with the nature or agricultural or anything like that and genetically modifying our food, or cloning animals, and all such stuff as that, and perverted government and perverted religion. No, it will be pure. Well, let's move on. The furnishings of this city will be of pure gold. Verse eighteen, “And the building of the wall of it was jasper and the city was pure gold like unto clear glass.” Well, gold regardless of how thin it is on this earth, gold as we know it on this earth is opaque. You can't see through it. But this gold is going to be clear, it's going to be as clear glass. Well, what does this gold represent? It doesn't, it doesn't mean that there will be actual, literal gold. Everything, the building of it, the whole city of pure denote or gold in the Old Testament denoted royalty. It denoted the house of David. It denoted the family of David, the tribe, you see the house, the lineage, royalty. That's what it's going to be, royalty and who was that Royal one? None other than the Lord Jesus Christ. This city will be his city, not our city. Not man's making. This will be the city of God because Jesus is God and he's the Royal one. Silver and gold, you see. Silver represented the priesthood and we see no silver in this city because it represented a Levitical priesthood. There's no Levitical priesthood in this city. There's no more restitution of animal sacrifice. Brother, that's done away with by God. Hallelujah! That's over with because Jesus Christ our high priest gave his life, his blood, his body once and for all. So now he's King not just King of my heart but he's King over a city. In fact, King over the earth, and not a Levitical priest but a Melchezidek priest. He's a Melchezidek priest. So we see where the furnishings of this city in verse 18 is of pure gold as clear as glass, the purity of rulership, the honestly, the fairness, Hallelujah! No more corruption in government. No more hidden mysteries in politics. No, it will be royalty of the Lord Jesus Christ ruling in equity and fairness. Hallelujah! I long for that city to come and may the Lord Jesus Christ bless each one of you as we look for the coming of our Master, our Savior, our King, the Lord Jesus. God bless you.
Part 67 TIH 544
Blessings on each one of you that has tuned into the program today and has an open Bible, and an open mind to perceive and to receive the description and the beauty and the glory and the splendor of what's coming to this earth, and that's the New Jerusalem, a prepared and adorned bride ready for her husband. And I bless each one of you today and I want to start our program today with this concept out of Proverbs chapter twenty nine and verse two, “When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule the people mourn.” Right now the earth is mourning. The people are mourning because the wicked are bearing rule. Need I say more? The crooks run our country. They've taken over but one day they are going to be overthrown by the coming of the great God and King, the Lord Jesus Christ. We can't overthrow them but the Lord Jesus is going to overthrow all unrighteous ungodly governments and set up his kingdom here on this Earth.
And I read again from the book of Isaiah, chapter eleven, one verse, verse nine. “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain.” And that word mountain is symbolic of kingdom. “For the earth shall be full, the whole earth, shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Hallelujah! I long for that day and I pray that you long for that day when the knowledge of the Lord, some people call that the millennium, that's fine, but his kingdom is going to last forever. It's going to last forever. And this is a description, an overall description of the perfect ruler-ship of our coming King, the Lord Jesus Christ. In that day they shall not hurt nor destroy anywhere in the kingdom of the Lord, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, knowledge, light, understanding, truth, as the waters cover the sea. We’re talking about Revelation chapter 21. And I'm going down a list to help us understand, help myself understand the nature and the character and the attributes of this city and we stopped at number twenty two. The furnishings of the city was pure gold. That's verse 18. And the garnishment of the foundation walls were twelve precious stones. This is verse 19 and verse 20, Revelation chapter 21. “And the foundations of the wall, foundations plural, of this one wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was Jasper. It was Jasper. The second Sapphire. The third Chalcedony. The fourth an Emerald. The fifth a Sardonyx. The sixth Sardius, the seventh Chrysolite, and the eighth was a Beryl. The ninth a Topaz, the tenth a Chrysoprasus, the eleventh a Jacinth and the twelfth, an Amethyst. Now when we go and look back in the Old Testament, we find that these twelve stones, these were in the breastplate of the high priest and I have listed these stones in relationship to each tribe because each stone represented a tribe. So, we come on down we've got Sardius stone is Reuben. Topaz as Simeon. Chrysoprasus as Levi. Emerald as Judah. Sapphire is Dan. Chrysolite Napthali. Jacinth stone as Gad. Chalcedony as Asher. Amethyst as Issachar. Beryl as Zebulon. Sardonyx as Joseph and Jasper as the tribe representing or the stone representing the tribe of Benjamin.
And I have it listed from the Old Testament, and also from the New Testament. And it helps, this helps to bring into perspective what the description and the nature of this city really is and I hate to say it and I hate to repeat myself but I am going to do it that I have never heard, that I have never heard a sermon in my life from a pastor or an evangelist describing heaven from this description in Revelation 21 neither have I ever heard of a vision that men or women have said that they have had of heaven to match Revelation 21. It's always been ethereal. And it's like the old descriptive term, the Elysian fields of the ancients. They describe the afterlife as Elysian fields, you know, just total bliss which is good, which is correct but never gave it a nature. And ministers have just described heaven as one big long church service. Well, this is more than this. This is a foundation city with an Israelitish nature. Well, the garnishment of the foundation was twelve precious stones the tribes of Israel. I can talk about that more, but I'm going to go ahead and pass on, pass that subject because it is so big that it will consume the rest of the program.
But number 24, its twelve gates were pearls. This is verse 21. The 12 twelve gates were pearls. Now, or if this is a literal city, if this is a literal city and you walk through this gate, one big pearl, there's, as far as I know no pearl has ever been that big. Pearls are rather small. So it must be representative of something. So, this, these pearls are people. These pearls are people. The twelve gates were twelve pearls. The street, verse 21, the street of the city was pure gold as transparent glass. And I've mentioned this gold before as being representative of royalty because gold is the metal of Kings. And in the Old Testament there was a lot of gold used denoting royalty and kingship, which in this case means equity, fairness, justice and no corruption, no bribes, no corrupt city governments or city officials or county or state or federal. No, this will be equitable, fairness, pureness, purity. And then the Temple, verse 22, “And I saw no Temple there for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.” No physical temple in this city. We hear a lot about in futurist teaching, we hear a lot about the Jewish Temple being rebuilt and some prophecy teachers are on either side of the line on this. They say will it be a tribulation temple or will it be the millennial temple? And they're actually talking about and advocating the Jewish leadership in Israel building or constructing a brand new Jewish temple. And I heard a prophecy preacher just the other day go into detail how this temple is going, this physical temple, and the Antichrist is going to sit in this temple. It's not even mentioned in the Bible that the Antichrist is going to sit in any temple. The antichrist spoken of in the book of Thessalonians sits in the temple of the church and has been for hundreds of years, but that's a different subject, and then this preacher went on to describe that there's going to be animal sacrifice in this temple. Where is that in the Bible? It says in this new city of Jerusalem, this prepared bride, this holy city, this new city, there will be no Temple. What is the source of the light? The glory of the Lord God and the Lamb are the Temple thereof. That's in verse 23. “And the city had no need of the sun neither of the moon to shine in it for the glory of God did lighten it and the Lamb is the light thereof.” Glory! Jesus Christ is the light. What is the source of this light? God. It says the Lord God and the Lamb is the glory, the radiance from their person is going to be the light of this city and it's, it's also mentioned in Revelation twenty two and verse five, “And there shall be no night there and they need no candle, neither light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light, and they shall reign forever and ever.” The Lord God gives the light.
I want to mention this once again that we have this offer, The Book of Revelation from an Israelitish and Historicist Interpretation and with this map, The Reformation of Israel in the West,” Israel's tribal migrations to the appointed place for an offering of twelve dollars and that is postage-paid. We will be glad to send you these two items plus this little booklet entitled The Rich Man and Lazarus. So, this is for your edification not to enrich this ministry because we have an investment in this material. That's pretty much takes up the whole twelve dollars plus the postage. But we want to share. We want to give not just get. We want to be a blessing and not just be blessed. And we want to bring these things out in the Word of God that are often times so hidden and forgotten.
But let's continue in the description of this city. The streets of gold, the Temple is the Lamb Himself and the Lamb and Almighty, well, I'll read it again. Verse 22, “And I saw no temple therein for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Hallelujah! We won't have to go to a certain location or a building to worship. The Lamb will be all over that city. Hallelujah. The source of light, verse 23, is the glory of God and the Lamb is the light thereof. The outreach of this city is to lighten the nations, verse 24, “And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and their honor into it.” What is it saying? Here I've described this city, this structure, this civilization, this society of being twelve hundred furlongs or twelve thousand furlongs, which is fifteen hundred miles square from Dallas to LA, and from Dallas to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. And out of it this light is going to flow. Well, what is this light? The outreach is light, understanding, knowledge, wisdom, and the nations of them which are saved or left over that were left from the Battle of Armageddon that were not destroyed those that were preserved and the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light and the understanding that comes out of this city. And I mentioned it, the 4 major areas of a, of a civilization or a nation: scientific knowledge, all forms of scientific knowledge, agriculture, government and religion. And the nations outside of this city will walk in the light of it. Instead of the United States transporting war or so-called democracy to the rest of the world, we will as a purified people national Israel restored transport the knowledge of God and of the Lamb that comes out of the Temple or out of their person. You see God and his Son, the Lord Jesus, they're the Temple in which we dwell and receive the light, not a physical building that we can touch. It's a spiritual thing. It's the light that came out of the person of the Lord Jesus and hit Paul on his road to Damascus.
Now, what's the traffic that's going to take place? The traffic that is going to take place, the exchange, “And the kings of the earth do bring their glory and their honor into the city.” They're going to pay homage to the Lord Jesus Christ. You see there's a little chorus that says “I see thrones when I see Jesus. Thrones, one he sits upon and the others at his feet. I see crowns when I see Jesus. One upon his head and all others at his feet.” In other words the kings of the earth are going to come and they're going to pay homage to our King the Lord Jesus Christ in this city. It's going to be right here on this earth. Now if this was in heaven as we have been told so many times on planet heaven where are the other nations? Where would they be? Where would these other societies be? Where would these other cultures be that are living on the outside of the city? These other nations, other cultures, other societies, other kings, other people of authority. No, it's going to be right here on this earth, paradise on the earth. “And the kings of the earth are going to bring their glory” just like the wise men brought gifts to the Lord Jesus when he was a child. That's the traffic. They're going to bring the best that they have and pay homage. And it says, “And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.” Of the nations, nations that were preserved or left over from the battle of Armageddon that were not destroyed, those that will comply. Well, we see this in the book of Zechariah in chapter 14 we see this beautiful picture of other nations coming and recognizing the Lord Jesus and his authority. “And it shall come to pass,” and this is Zechariah chapter fourteen, “and it shall come to pass that everyone that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, capital K, the Lord of hosts and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, and it shall be that who so will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King the Lord of hosts even upon them shall be no reign.” This sounds like it's going to take place here on the earth, the millennial reign of Christ. But it says of his kingdom there shall be no end. After the thousand years are up, why transfer to another planet when the battle was lost here? The battle was won here and the battle is finally, all the enemies are overcome finally, and the plan is perfected in this new city, it's going to be here on the earth.
And Zechariah goes on to say in his fourteenth chapter and eighteenth verse, “And if the family of Egypt go not up and come not, that have no rain, there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. And in that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.” And then it goes on to say, “Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein; and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD God.” The Canaanite, the Esau people is going to be cut off. That's what Zachariah says. Well, you see this beautiful city is going to lighten the nations and then they are going, the nations and the Kings are going to bring their glory and honor into it. In Revelation 21:25, what are the operational hours? Always open. “And the gates of it, and the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day for there shall be no night there.” Thank God. A city of 24-hour light, it's operational hours will be, it will be twenty four hours a day but it does have restrictions. In verse 27, “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination,” and those abominations were listed in the Old Testament and if you're working those abominations, if you're practicing those things, you're not going to enter in to the city of God. “Neither whatsoever worketh abomination or maketh a lie but they which are written in the Lamb's book of Life.” The restrictions, if you defile, if you work abomination, that's why it pays right now to get right with God. Get your sins under the blood of Jesus. Repent, I mean genuinely repent and walk the straight and narrow path that leads to life. My friends, it's time to get right with God because I am heralding behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet him. It's time to prepare now before the bridegroom comes otherwise you will be part of the foolish virgins. Be part of the wise and be ready to meet the King when it comes. God bless each one of you as you continue to study his Word and look forward to the coming of our great King the Lord Jesus Christ.
Part 68 TIH 545
I want to welcome you to Truth in History again today as we continue our study in the book of Revelation and I want to begin though in the book of Matthew today with the prayer that our Lord taught us to pray. This is the prayer that our Lord taught his disciples to pray. It's very familiar to each one of us commonly called the Lord's Prayer and it's actually the prayer of the disciples and we are the disciples not just the 12 apostles. We should also be praying this prayer. Jesus said, “Our father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Jesus Christ, the perfect son of God while standing in old promised land, the old promised land, He prayed thy Kingdom come, thy will be done right here on this Earth and that is the, the prayer and the concept that I would like to emphasize today. It's God's will that his kingdom come to this Earth. We have so many problems, so many problems in this nation and around the world that we need the kingdom of God and I want to proclaim today on this, on this television program that there is a greater day coming for this earth. There is a bright day arriving upon this earth that will solve all of our problems that will take care of all the unfairness and all the disparity among nations, and among races, among families, among different people, among different ages of people. There is coming a glorious day, and it's called the kingdom of God on earth. And I keep stressing that concept because I believe that is the concept that we see in Scripture in the Old Testament and also in the New Testament. But I'd like to have a word of prayer here before we begin because so many people have written in and asked for us to pray with them or pray for them because there's, there's people that have lost their jobs. People that are in debt. People that are discouraged. Those that are weak in their faith, those that are trying to overcome habits such as tobacco or alcohol or drugs. And then there's those that are having to deal with wayward children so we're going to take all these needs to the Lord in prayer. Our father in heaven, we thank you this day that we can come to you in the name of your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and bring all these needs because we are a needy people. Lord, we are a needy people and we thank you that we can come, knowing that you're all sufficient for every problem. Every problem that I have mentioned Lord I pray that you would just place your hand upon those that need divine healing, or that need a job, or need deliverance from unclean habits and the bondages of sin. We thank you heavenly Father for supplying every need in the name that is above every other name, the strong name of our Savior, the Lord Jesus. Amen and amen.
We begin this time where we left off last time and that is I was listing the different characteristics of the kingdom of God on this earth as described in Revelation 21 and 22 and I pray that you're, you're paying close attention and following along because can you imagine that all the characteristics that we find here in this book and this is God's book the Holy Bible is the final word of our belief. It's the final word for our doctrine and I believe that God gives visions and dreams to people. That is also found in the Bible. I believe that God can give dreams and visions to people even this day but visions and dreams must coincide with Scripture before they're considered a God-given dream. And so many dreams, unfortunately, so many visions of quote “heaven” that I've heard doesn't even come close to the description that we find in Revelation 21 and 22 but yet it's believed that Revelation 21 and 22 and the conditions listed therein describes heaven but generally the visions that we have heard from people are visions of preconceived ideas that have been taught from the pulpits and learned from childhood and incorporated into our mentality of people just praising God worshiping the Lord 24 hours a day like one big long church service and falling down at the feet of Jesus and drinking water from the river of life and picking fruit off of a tree and walking on streets of gold and meeting one another, meeting Brother Jones and meeting Brother Smith and you know those people that we've known on earth and just having one glorious time throughout all eternity. And it's actually been compared sometimes to the Elysian fields of the ancients that you know just living in a state of bliss. Well it will be total bliss, happiness but the characteristics of the kingdom of God on this earth goes beyond that. And I was reading a list and commenting on these different characteristics on the previous programs and I got down to point number 31 so I'm going to start at point number 32 and try to finish this list today and, and, and give us a Biblical descript, description, a Biblical description of quote “heaven” because heaven is going to be on this earth. And I know I'm going against the stream and the tide of most theology that you hear because everything that is preached concerning prophecy, practically everything that you hear preached concerning prophecy ends in a crescendo with the rapture flying away and just abdicating our authority on this earth. But the Bible description of this wonderful city called heaven, the pearly white city is right here on this Earth, and when we come to Revelation 21:27 it says there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, whatsoever worketh abomination or maketh a lie, but the qualifications for entry into this city is that your name must be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Your name must be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. In other words, you have met this Lamb. You have confessed your sins to the Son of God who is this Lamb and you have, you have been totally regenerated and transformed by the Holy Ghost and your life, your life coincides with a new birth, a new birth experience, with a new birth from the inside out and a life of holiness on the inside and the outside. So point number 32 is that the entrance qualification is your name must be written in the Lamb's Book of Life, and then number 33 the life of this city is found in Revelation 22:1, “And he showed me a pure river of water of life clear as crystal, a pure river of water of life.”
Now this is not a, you know H20. This is not just literal water like we drink and we, we clean with because Jesus in John, chapter 7, in John chapter 7, he talks about this water. “He that believeth on me as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” Well, that's spirit. That's the Holy Spirit because it says but this spake He of the spirit in verse 39. So this is not a literal river of H20 of water. No, this is symbolic language speaking of the abundance of the Spirit of God, the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. And He showed me a pure river of water of life. In the Old Testament it says ye shall draw water out of the wells of salvation. Jesus said in John chapter 4 to the woman at the well he says I can give you water to drink that you'll never thirst again. This is symbolic. This River of life is symbolic of the Spirit of God in each one that is in this city. Well, what is the source of this river? It says it proceeds out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Now we know that logically thinking that there's no H20 river that's going to flow out of a literal, physical throne chair. No, it's this river of life which is this Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit; the Spirit of life is coming out of the person of God and the Lamb, coming out of their person because he promised to give us the Holy Spirit. He said my father shall give you this gift. I shall give you this gift. So we just see this written again in symbolic language of the spirit of life that is given to us from the throne of God and of the Lamb. And then number 35 in the midst of the street of it and on either side of the river was there the tree of life, the tree of life. This orchard if we might call it that contained one tree, one tree. What was in the garden of Eden? Going back to Genesis in the garden of Eden there was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and then there was the tree of life. This is that same tree and it's this tree of life that produces fruit in verse 2. There was the tree of life which bare 12 manner of fruits, 12 manner of fruits and this fruit, this fruit, the production was monthly and the leaves were for the healing of the nations. So we have this one tree, the tree of life. It yields fruit every month, 12 manner of fruit, 12 separate types of fruit every month and the leaves of this tree is for the healing of the nations. Now this tree is the tree of life, the life, the wisdom, the knowledge, the understanding and the truth of God, the law principles of the Almighty that shall flow out from the kingdom to heal the nations, the nations, the non-Israel nations and the Israel nations are going to be healed by the life that comes out of this river and off of this tree and its 12 manner of fruit. We have 12 tribes of Israel. We have 12 months of the year. We have 12 apostles of the Lamb. You see with the knowledge of the gospel and the knowledge of the law God instituted once again in the earth. It's going to heal the problems of all the nations. Everything from starvation from, from every imaginable humankind problem. It's going to be, they're going to be healed by the river of life and the leaves of the trees and the fruit off of this tree. Hallelujah. It's going to be a wonderful time because there won't, if this was in heaven there wouldn't be any need of healing of the nations in heaven you know on a planet heaven somewhere a million miles from earth. No, this is on earth. This is where the healing is needed. This is where it's going to take place. So we have a production that is monthly. The leaves were for healing and in verse number three and there shall be no more curse. What's the negativity in this city. Zero. None. In the book of Genesis we find that Adam and Eve are under the curse. We're still under the curse. We find where the earth was cursed. We find where Cain and his family were cursed. But here no more curse. The curse of sin, sickness and death will be removed. It will be totally removed and how was it removed? By the perfect sacrifice of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. That's how the curse was removed and in this perfect setting in this city no more curse. What about the city center? The throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it. And what about the inhabitants of this city? The inhabitants are called servants and his servants shall serve Him. This is actually, it's mind boggling when we take the Scripture verse by verse, phrase by phrase, and let it speak to us in detail language it's really mind-boggling, the plan and the purpose that God has for this planet. I hope that you get excited over this because I'm excited over this. There are so many problems in this earth. There are so many problems in our nation but this gives us hope that the nations are going to be healed and our nation is going to be healed. So the duty of these servants found in verse 3 is they're going to serve. They're going to serve and their privilege also found in verse number 4 and they shall see his face and his name shall be in their foreheads. His character is in his name and his name is going to be in our mentality, in our forehead, not on our forehead but in our forehead, in our frontal lobe where we have reasoning power and thinking power and an ability to make decisions and to decide right from wrong. You see, we shall have the proper knowledge of right and wrong, everybody that's in that city. And it will be wonderful to have the curse removed from this earth because just in our nation alone there are so many problems that are just unsurmountable. Man cannot solve his own problems to make a, a place of tranquility and peace on this earth.
I would like to mention once again that I have written a book entitled “The Book of Revelation from an Israelitish and Historicist Standpoint” and I have listed many of the things in this book that I have talked about on the programs and I would like to encourage each one to send for this book for a ministry donation of 12 dollars and that is postage paid and we will also send you this map that goes with the book entitled The Reformation of Israel in the West showing who are the real true Biblical Israelites in the earth today. And if you have not received a copy of our ministry magazine, we will be more than happy to send you a copy. It's just simply called Truth in History. On the back there's a list of publications that we have and this magazine is free of charge. The book and the map go together for an offering of 12 dollars, that's postage-paid. But the magazine, if you have never ordered it or never seen it, you can order this magazine by mail by e-mail or by telephone and we'll be more than happy to send it to you. And I pray that this, this series lessons on the book of Revelation has been encouraging to you because I'm looking forward to the day and I hope that you are too when the problems of our nation and our families are solved. Let me read you just a list, a short list of some of the problems that I've listed in our nation that's going to solved by the coming of our King. Our nation is afflicted with materialism, the love of pleasure, religious liberalism, illegal immigration, our Congress is now our leaders are now trying to solve that problem, a decadent entertainment industry, abortion, violence, excessive national debt, unending foreign wars, broken homes, ungodly court decisions, political correctness, a humanistic public education system, political turmoil, racial unrest and economic disparity and discouragement, alcoholism, sickness, disease, and sinfulness, public violence, domestic violence, the list never ends. But someday when our Savior returns to this earth and that prayer of His is fulfilled thy kingdom come thy will be done on this earth as it is in heaven, because the kingdom of heaven it's source is from above. It's the mind and the purpose and the plan of a perfect God and that plan is going to be fulfilled here on this earth. And I pray that you are prepared for the coming of our Savior because the qualification for entrance into that city, the qualifications is for your name to be written in the Lamb's book of life. I hope that everyone that is watching this program today can assuredly say within themselves my name is written in the Lamb's book of life. I have been born again of the spirit of God, the water, the Word and by the blood. And this water is the Word of God because the apostle tells us the washing of water by the Word and this, in the city it's going to be a river. It's not just going to be a well. It's not just going to be a basin like the laver of the Old Testament. It's going to be a life giving River. Hallelujah! And everywhere this river touches it heals. That's what Ezekiel was talking about in chapters 40 to 48. This river of healing power and the leaves of the tree of life to heal our problems and to heal our nations and our families. And may God richly bless you as you study his Word and long for the coming of our great God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ and he shall sit upon his throne and rule in righteousness. God bless.
Part 69 TIH 546
In the book of Psalms, chapter 99 and verse 9 the Psalmist encourages us to exalt the Lord, exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy hill for the Lord our God is holy. We want to recognize the Lord Jesus Christ as our God today because when Jesus Christ came He was God manifested in the flesh. That's what the apostle Paul told Timothy. God manifested in the flesh, not one third of God, not two thirds, not a part of God but He is the fullness of the Godhead bodily, the fullness one hundred percent Deity. And in all of our studies concerning the book of Revelation and concerning the subject of prophecy, I do not want just to talk about prophecy and prophetic events, whether they be past, present or future. I want to emphasize the Christ of prophecy because the book of Revelation is actually the unveiling of His person. It's the unveiling of His nature not just acts or deeds of men whether they be good or bad taking place on this earth throughout history or presently or in the future. No, the book of Revelation is an unveiling, a making known of the person, the name, the glory, the majesty and the person, the personality of the Lord Jesus Christ. But it's like that old Methodist preacher of Great Britain once said, his name was Mark Guy Pierce. He made a statement that is ever so profound. He said if we can only rescue the personality of Jesus Christ from organized religion, the people would flock to him again as in the days of old. If we could only rescue the real true Jesus from the ceremonial, from the traditional, from all the doctrines of men, the confusing doctrines of theology, if we could just rescue the true Jesus from all of that, the people would flock to him again as in the days of old, and that's going to take place. The revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ is going to take place and it's going to take place on this earth. Well before we go into the Scriptures today let's have a word of prayer. We want to pray for all the needs of the people that are listening and viewing this program because God is a prayer answering God. Jesus loves you. I don't care how despondent you may be, how discouraged, how broke you may be or how disappointed you may be in religion or churches. Jesus Christ is still on the throne. Let us pray. Our father in heaven, we thank you in the name that is above every other name, the name of the Lord Jesus that you are a prayer answering God, and that you're filling the needs, you're answering the prayers and the cries of the hearts of many that are out there today across this great nation of ours and up into Canada and different places wherever this program is heard, we pray in Jesus name. Lord that you would comfort hearts, supply financial needs, that you would save those that are lost, those that are struggling with sin, bring them to a place of repentance. Heal those that are sick. Lord let there be miracles of divine healing take place and heal the brokenhearted. That's your job. Heal the brokenhearted. Heal those that are having mental problems that are mentally ill. We pray touch their lives and their hearts, their minds. Give them the peace that only comes from you. We pray this in the name and by the authority of the Lord Jesus, His blood, His Spirit and His Word. Amen and amen.
Going back to Revelation chapter number 22. I know this has been a long series of study, but there's so much detail in this book that we, we just dare not neglect the book of Revelation any longer. And the last time we ended on Revelation chapter 22 and verse 4 and I'd just like to read the rest of this chapter with comments in between and just see how just bask in its glory. Verse number 5, “And there shall be no night there and they need no candle, neither light of the sun for the Lord God giveth them light, and they shall reign forever and ever.” No need of the sun. No need of a candle, and no need of the moon. And in the Old Testament it tells us this and I want to see if I can find that Scripture real quick that, that mentions in the book of Isaiah, if I can find it. In Isaiah chapter 60 it says violence shall be no more, no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders for thou shalt call thy walls salvation and thy gates praise. The sun shall be no more thy light by day neither for the brightness shall the moon give light unto thee but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light and thy God thy glory. That's Isaiah chapter 60 and verse 19 and 20. Thy sun shall no more go down neither shall thy moon withdraw itself for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. So we see this concept where there's no more need of the sun or the moon for the Lord God is going to be the light of this glorious city. These things are just, they're, it’s hard to comprehend by our human understanding, our limited understanding but it's in the books. It's in the books of the Bible. In verse number 6, “And he said unto me these sayings are faithful and true and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold, I come quickly and blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.” And then in verse number 8 of Revelation 22 we come to a very interesting thing that took place. John said I saw these things and I heard them and when I had heard and seen I fell down to worship before the feet of the Angel which showed me these things and then this is what was said. “Then said he unto me, this quote “angel” talking to John, see thou do it not for I am thy fellow servant and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the savings of this book.” John I want you to worship God not me. This individual whom John called an angel, the word angel simply means messenger. So this messenger that was talking to John and was showing the him these things was not an angel that we ordinarily think of as having wings and having a long flowing white garment and long golden hair and flies around heaven. In fact where in the Bible does it even say that angels have wings except in Isaiah and that is a symbolic, symbolic picture of the those saints of God crying holy. And we won't, we won't talk about that right now but angels are messengers and in this case it was one whom John could identify himself with as a fellow servant, one of the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book.
Now going back to Chapter 19 and verse number 10 we read this. “And I fell at his feet to worship him and he said unto me see thou do it not. I am thy fellow servant and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” In other words, this messenger in chapter 19, in chapter 22 refused worship because this was not a divine creature. It was a servant of the Lord, a brother, a fellow brother. He said one of the prophets. Was this Jeremiah that was speaking to John? Was this Isaiah? Was this Micah? Could this have been an unnamed prophet in the Old Testament? Could this have been a saint of the New Testament that had passed on and the Lord was using this person and it, his spirit as a messenger to John because you see when Jesus was being tempted of the devil and angels came and ministered unto him, this could've been an Old Testament prophet that was sent by God because that prophet could identify with rejection, persecution, maybe even martyrdom. So therefore, this prophet could identify with what Jesus was going through with the rejection and the temptation, the rejection of the Pharisees and the temptation of Satan himself. So, this is very interesting that some of the quote “angels” are actually people. And I'm sure you've heard many times, maybe it's even happened to you, you know, people tell the stories of maybe someone having car trouble, a flat tire or something, or in a ditch, or in an accident somewhere and some mysterious character out of nowhere comes to the scene. They describe this person as a, as a regular person. They describe their face and the color of their hair or clothes could be a male or female that helps this person in trouble and then all of a sudden disappears. That's an angel of the Lord. Sometimes it could even be a relative. It could be someone that's already passed one or it could be someone that's still alive that, that the, the Lord just sent their spirit and gave them a form, the form of a person because they are a person that they became quote “an angel” at that particular moment to help someone in need.
Verse number 10, “For he said unto me, seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book for the time is at hand.” These times began to unfold. These events began to unfold hundreds of years ago, hundreds of years ago. Then it gives a warning. “He that is unjust let him be unjust still.” You see it came, it comes a time in the progressive plan of God, there comes a time when it seems to be too late to change. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still. You've passed the point of no return. That's somewhat the, the thought in this verse. You've passed the point in time of no return. It's time to get right with God now because when the gates of that city, when the Guardian of that gate, there's a, there's a name over each gate of the twelve sons and the angel at that gate can keep you out or let you in because it plainly tells us in verse 15 for without are dogs, sorcerers. Now I've heard two definitions of this term dog in my reading of different commentaries and, and listening to different ministers and so forth comment on this. And in verse 15 it says for without are dogs and the two, and the application, the dual application that I've heard is that it refers to homosexuals and false teachers, homosexuals and false teachers and it says for without left outside the gate are dogs, sorcerers, those that deal in pharmacea for worship purposes, not just for medicinal purposes or should I say not for medicinal purposes because this word sorcery comes from pharmacea, drugs, illicit drugs to bring about hallucinations, devining drugs like they did in the Old Testament, soothsaying that type of pharmacea. Whoremongers, it's pretty plain there, murderers, idolaters and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. So if you come under any of those categories, it's time to get right with God, get all that under the blood, have a changed life and be ready for this pearly white city because it's coming. When the King comes the city is coming. Back to verse 11. “He that is unjust let him be unjust still and he which is filthy let him be filthy still.” Now the second concept, the second concept that is in this verse, verse 11, is that the just, the unjust, the wicked, the filthy shall become more unjust, more filthy. In other words as time goes on filthiness, ungodliness, unrighteousness is going to increase. But the second half of the verse says he that is righteous let him be righteous still and he that is holy let him be holy still. In other words, the righteous are going to become more righteous. The filthy are going to become more filthy. Now in 1960 we thought things were bad, 1980 they were worse but we thought surely it can't get any worse than this. Now it's even worse. When our president last year and our vice president too actually on national television sanctions same-sex marriage and then the president in his inaugural address makes it a part of his official platform, God is taking notice. The holy God of heaven is taking notice and he's going to recompense, he's going to bring consequences. Shall I not judge for these things was a question in the Old Testament? Shall I not punish or bring judgment for these things? God brought judgment upon the city of Sodom, the city of Gomorrah and the other cities of the plains for this very sin. It was an official accepted practice. And now we've got it in America. The Old Testament says concerning different kings, he made Israel to sin. In other words, he gave license to the people. That's what our President, vice President, cabinet, theologians, teachers, professors, other people in authority, that's what they are doing giving license to the people to sin but a holy God takes notice. He says, “Behold I come quickly and my reward is with me to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”
We produce a magazine at this ministry called Truth in History. If you have never written for this magazine, if you have never received a copy, we will be willing to send you a copy absolutely free of charge and put you on the subscription list and we'll send you a copy at each edition as they come out. This is free of charge. But I would like to encourage each one to order this book, “The Book of Revelation From an Israelitish and Historicist Standpoint" because it will bring many things to light and it clarify many things that are written in the book of Revelation and this plus the map. We will also send you this map concerning the Reformation of True Israel in the West and we will send you this for an offering of twelve dollars. That's postage paid twelve dollars and folks we try to hold down the cost of all of our material as low as possible. We're not making a lot of money on these booklets or books or maps or magazines or whatever. We want to make them available to you for your understanding and for your admonition and up-building in your faith. And we all know that postage goes up from time to time and we absorb that. But the Lord supplies our need and we thank the Lord for that and we want to thank everyone of you that have helped us, everyone that has sent in an offering or purchased some material. We thank you for doing that because that, that keeps us going and we just thank God that Philippians in that book is written that wonderful verse that my God shall supply all of your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. That's for us and that's also for you. So God bless you for that. It says in 22:14, “Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in, may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs and sorcerers, whoremongers, murderers, idolaters and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” Then it says, “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root.” This is wonderful. “I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” As the root of David, He's David's God and as the offspring of David, he's David's son. David had natural sons Solomon and Nathan and others. He had several sons but Jesus is David's greater son. Wonderful. And the Bible tells us that Gabriel came to Jesus' mother while she was bearing her child, and the angel said, he shall be great, the child that you are bearing shall be great, he shall be called the son of the highest and I will give unto him the throne of his father David. Jesus Christ is coming back and He's going to sit upon the throne of his father David which was right here on this earth. David's throne was not in heaven a million miles from here. It was right here on this earth and I'm looking forward to the day and I pray that you are looking forward to the day when our Savior returns, our healer, our baptizer, our comforter returns to this Earth and possesses the throne of his father David, and rectifies all wrongs and makes everything right and rules in righteousness and holiness in the earth. God bless you.
Part 70 TIH 547
Welcome once again to Truth in History as we continue and come to the end of our series on the book of Revelation. And it's so amazing to study this book in particular among other books of the Bible but this book is, is special. It's different because we read different things in the book itself that's so glorious that makes it so unique. And the last time on our program we were, we were in Revelation 22 and we had come down to verse number 16. And what we see in verse 16 among other verses is the glory of the person of Christ. And we dare not omit to to emphasize the fact that this book is unique within itself, but it is one of the ways in which it is so unique is to emphasize, to magnify the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and we bless him this day because Jesus is our Savior. He's our healer. He's our baptizer in the Holy Ghost. He's our comforter. He's our friend. He's our coming King. He's everything. He's our God the Lord Jesus Christ, the glory of the Christ, the glory of the risen Lamb. Hallelujah! And He's with each one of us today. He's with you. He's with me. You cannot put any restrictions upon Him or upon His Word, in miles makes no difference. The Lord Jesus is with you wherever you may be. And we want to have a word of prayer before we begin because we want to recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit. And we want to bring our needs to the cross. We want to bring our requests to the place where they can and will be answered. That's at the feet of the Lord Jesus. Let us pray. Our Father in heaven, we thank you this day as we come and we bring the needs of those that view this program, that have written in or requested and called in their request for various needs. We pray by faith believing that those prayers will be answered the right time, the right setting, the right place and let it be for your glory. And Father I pray save that son or that daughter that is not saved. Rescue that grandchild. Deliver those from drugs, alcohol, tobacco that needs to be delivered or other habits. Deliver those Lord that have a lying habit, a lying spirit that they will be released from that thing and I thank you Lord for encouraging the saints and lifting them up above the shadows of doubt and discouragement, those that are housebound, bedridden in Jesus name. Let the presence of God fill their minds and their bosoms this day. We thank you in Jesus name. Amen.
Now in Revelation 22 we read this in verse 17, it says “And the Spirit and the bride say come, the Spirit and the bride, and let him that heareth say come, and let him that thirst come, and whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Come now. He's, this invitation has been given to come and to partake of the water of life. That's not H20. That's not literal, physical water but that's the life giving presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. The same water that he offered the woman at the well in John chapter 4. The same water that he promised would be given in John chapter 7 and he said this spake he of the Holy Spirit for the Holy Spirit had not yet been given. But that's the water. Drink of this water. This is the life-giving water. This is the same water that's mentioned in Revelation 22 and verse 1, the life giving water but in the kingdom it's going to be a river, a flowing river, unstoppable river to flow out to the nations. Well, what is this? It's the knowledge and the principles and the laws of God. And then in verse 18, “I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book. If any man, he says if any man shall add unto these things God shall add unto him the plagues that are written therein, and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book.” What an awesome warning that was given back in Deuteronomy chapter 12 you know and in other verses of Scripture. Don't add to and don't take away and that's why we must be ever so careful in studying the Word because the revelation of truth comes to each one of us in a progressive manner. You know we can, we can put ourselves in a religious box. This is it. This is what I believe. I don't believe anything else. I'm not going to listen to anything new. Well, that's, that's idiocy. That's religious idiocy. Because I don't know everything and neither do you and neither do those that have DD's behind their name and PhD's. They don't know everything. We must have a contrite spirit, a broken heart, willing to learn.
Not too long ago just a week or two ago some, some man called up on the telephone line and he didn't give his name or address, didn't identify himself at all but he exhibited the spirit of antichrist. And this is what he said. He said you are a liar and he would emphasize the word liar. And he said it about three times. You are a liar. You are going to hell. You are going to hell and then he stretched the word hell out for about four or five seconds. Simply I guess because I said something that he disagreed with. He's probably a Bible scholar in his own mind, a legend in his own mind. He's probably maybe quote “a Christian”, a mean-spirited type person. And Jesus said concerning that spirit he told the disciples when they came back to him and he said Lord, they said Lord we saw others casting out devils in your name and we forbid them. Jesus said ye know not what spirit ye are of. Ye know not what spirit ye are of. That's the spirit of antichrist when someone assumes I'm all right. There's something wrong with everybody else. No. Folks, saints of God, we must have a teachable spirit. We must be willing to admit I'm wrong when we find out that we are wrong. Not to add to the book. I don't care who that addition may come from just simply don't add to the book when it's not in there. But the last two verses of this book are so beautiful. He which testifieth these things sayeth surely I come quickly and then the the response of John. Even so come, Lord Jesus. Our longing as saints of God should be for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
That should be our longing. Even so, come Lord Jesus and be manifested in the earth. Now the manifestation of the Lord Jesus Christ, I'd like to point out a few things concerning the Lord Jesus and I'm turning in this book, the book that I have put together concerning the book of Revelation, in the book of Revelation Jesus Christ is referred to many different times and in different ways by different titles. And I would like to just go over these because it's so refreshing. Now we know that the word Jesus comes from the word Yashua and Yashua of the Hebrew language means Yah is salvation. It comes from Joshua just like the name Joshua of the Old Testament. So it means Yah that is God is salvation. Thou shalt call his name Jesus or thou shalt call his name Yashua for he shall save his people from their sins, Matthew 1:21. So the name Yah is found in Psalm 68:4 and Y-A-H, which is Yahweh, which is the tetragrammaton of the Hebrew Y-H-W-H and some scholars spell it Y-H-V-H. So Jesus is salvation. He is the plan. Jesus is the purpose of God. He is God. He's not the second person of the Godhead. Nowhere will you find that in the Bible neither will you find the phrase God the Son. You'll find the phrase Son of God, but God the Son is not there or God the Father or God the Holy Ghost. Those are theological terms that were made by men to help define what they call the Trinity. See it's not tri-units, its tri-unity. So do I believe in tri-unity? Absolutely. God manifested as Father, manifested as Son in the flesh and manifested as the Holy Ghost. But these are the title, some of the titles of Jesus that Jesus is referred to in the book of Revelation: Faithful Witness, that is as a prophet, first begotten of the dead, as a priest, and prince of the kings of the earth. That's Revelation 1:5. Then he is referred to eight different times as Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last letter of the Greek alphabet. Well going back to the book of Isaiah, God, the God of the Hebrews before Jesus came was referred to as he referred to himself as Alpha and Omega so there can't be 2 Alpha's and 2 Omega's. There can't be two beginnings and two endings. So it must mean that Jesus is God. He is referred to as Son of Man when he took upon the form of Adam to identify with the children of Abraham. He's referred to as a man. He is referred to as the lion of the tribe of Judah, kingly, the root of David, David's God. He's referred to as the Lamb of God, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. That's mentioned 17 times in the book of Revelation as Lamb. He's referred to as Lord. He's referred to as Lord and Christ when the kingdoms of this world are going to be possessed by him. He is referred to as a manchild in chapter 12. He's referred to as the King of saints in chapter 15, the King of Kings in chapter 17 and 19. He's referred to as the faithful and true. He is referred to as the Word of God. Jesus is the Word of God. That's in chapter 19. He is referred to as the Lord of Lords being higher than all of the Lords and he is referred to as the Lord Jesus.
Now I'm reading this from, this list from my book The Book of Revelation from an Israelite and Historicist Interpretation and I want encourage each one to order this book if you haven't ordered it. I think you'll find it very helpful in understanding this book, and I have put so many things in this book to help you understand the different interpretations, the Spiritualist interpretation, the Preterist, the Historicist, and the Futurists, and to give you a big picture and I also will include this map of the migrations of the twelve tribes of Israel and it's, and it's entitled The Reformation, The Reformation of Israel in the West and I want to encourage each one to order this and for a, a ministry offering of twelve dollars and that will be postage paid and it will be well worth that investment. And also we have a magazine if you've never subscribed to this magazine, which is free of charge. Do so and we'll send it to your home absolutely free and I think that you will be blessed by the many different articles that you find in that, that magazine in each issue. Now let me continue on in this list. The following are references to Jesus Christ in his various capacities as listed in the book of Revelation. The possessor, number one, the possessor of the keys of hell and of death, he possesses those keys. Number two, the possessor of the seven stars or the seven pastors as listed in Chapter two. He's the judge of the seven candlesticks which represents the seven churches. He is the possessor of the sharp sword, the double-edged, it cuts coming and going. Number five, he's the possessor or the rewarder of the overcomer. Number six, He's the possessor of the King or the key, excuse me, the possessor of the key of David. That's a very interesting concept, the Key of David. Number seven, He is the beginning of the creation of God one who began creating all things in the very beginning. Number eight, an overcomer. He is an overcomer. Number nine, He is the Redeemer of his people. Number ten, He's a maker of the kings and priests chapter one, chapter five, chapter twenty. Number eleven, He's the man child. In other words, He's the head of the manchild company. Number twelve, He's the criteria over which his followers are persecuted. Thirteen, He for whom martyrs give their lives. Fourteen, he is the husband of the bride. Fifteen, He is the sender of an angel or a messenger and number sixteen He's the bright and Morning Star. Beautiful pictures of Christ in his glory. In chapter one we see this picture of the glorified Christ, this Melchizedek priest on his throne, not a Levitical priest. But the Levitical priest, that ministry has passed away. But the King/Priest Melchizedek on his throne, perfect in his office. Jesus said I am come in my Father's name. Jesus is the fulfillment of all the attributes of deity. And I want to read you a list that I have here on page number 20. In Isaiah 42:8, Isaiah 42:8, it is recorded that the Lord said “I am the Lord that is my name” but the word LORD, capital L-O-R-D with all caps denotes Yahweh or Yah. That is the name of the God of the Hebrews but it's been translated into English, come down to us as Lord. So I want to read you these sacred names. The Lord our Provider which is Yahweh-Jireh, Genesis 22, the Lord our Banner, Yahweh-Nissi Exodus 17, the Lord our Healer, Yahweh-Ropheka Exodus 15, the Lord our peace Yahweh-Shalom, the Lord our Sanctifier, which is Yahweh-Mekaddishkem, Exodus 31 and then the Lord of hosts, Yahweh-Sabaoth, which is the Lord of many armies. In fact, we find out in the story of the crossing of the Red Sea when the Israelites crossed the song part of the song that they sang was the Lord is a man of war, the Lord of host Yahweh-Sabaoth, and then in Psalm 23 he is the Lord our shepherd, which is Yahweh-Rohi and then the Lord our maker, Yahweh-Hoseenu, Psalm ninety five. And then the Lord our righteousness which is Yahweh-Tsidkenu, that's Jeremiah 23 and Chapter 33 and then the Lord is present, Yahweh-Shammah, Ezekiel 48. So all of these names as listed in the Old Testament interpreted by many to refer to the God of Israel of the Old Testament rightfully but Jesus fulfills every one of these. He is our provider. He is our banner. He is our healer. He is our peace. He is our sanctifier. He is the Lord of hosts. He is the Lord our shepherd. He is our maker. He is our righteousness and he is present. So Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, this one born of a virgin in Bethlehem of Judea, the one who grew up in favor with God and men, who came to the temple and astounded the Doctors of the Law when he was twelve years old and this one who started his ministry in the River Jordan being baptized by John the Baptist and sailed on the Sea of Galilee in a boat with his disciples and performed miracles and was denied by the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the religious leaders of Judaism and was crucified and was dead and buried for seventy two hours, three days and three nights who came out of that grave victorious over death, hell and the grave, ascended back to his Father, sent the Holy Ghost to his believers. He is God. He is every one of those sacred names. He is the manifestation of every one of those sacred names that I read. Jesus is going to sit upon the throne of his father David. Yes, even so come Lord Jesus, and heal our land. That is the only solution to our national problems and to our world problems. The world is in turmoil. Nations are in civil strife and in civil war, killing one another. It's not the will of God. It's not the will of God, high crime in the streets and in the homes, starvation in our nation and around the world. That's not his will. My prayer and I hope your prayer today is even so come, Lord Jesus, come and reign over us. God bless you.
Part 71 TIH 548
Welcome once again to Truth in History. I just thank the Lord for this opportunity to come and to minister his word and to be just one small part of his big kingdom. Even one small part of the body of Christ just one member and I thank God for every one of you who are, are listening and supporting this program. And even if you don't support it financially that's okay. God bless you anyway. And the Lord supply your needs and we have good news, good news, good news in the gospel and I want to be encouraging and uplifting even in spite of the fact that I mentioned that we have so many problems in this world and sometimes I address those problems on this program but things are going to change one of these days. There's going to be a great manifestation, a great manifestation take place and I realize that this is not ordinarily taught in prophecy or in church. It's just very seldom mentioned but there's going to be a great change come to this planet and it's going to be a good change.
Now, what comes between now and that wonderful change. We can only speculate. We can, we can read the signs of the times but saints of God we must be ready for a manifestation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pray. Our Father in heaven, we thank you Lord that we can come into your presence, approach the throne of grace, the throne of mercy not the throne of marble and just simply share with you our needs and Lord there are people listening and viewing this program today that have wayward children that are praying for them, that have problems that seemingly cannot be surmounted in the natural but Lord you are the answer. Jesus is the answer. Christ the manifestation of Christ, the new birth is the answer. The healing touch of the master is the answer. And Lord encourage the Saints. Reveal yourself through your word, a revelation of truth. We thank you Lord for taking control of our nation, just taking control and authority over the prince and the power, prince and the power of the air. We pray in Jesus name. Amen.
Turning to the book of II Peter, II Peter chapter 3, Peter was writing prophetically and he says, “This second epistle beloved I now write unto you in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance that ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior. Knowing this first, he's pointing out something first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” Scoffers are saying there's nothing going to happen. There's different interpretations of history, different ways of looking at it. Some people look at history as a straight flat line. In other words, history just goes on and on and on and on with no, with no climax, with no crescendo. It would, it would just go on forever whether it gets worse or whether it gets better. Some people believe in this flat line that man shall perfect himself. I heard that just the other day. Man shall perfect himself through science. Well, I doubt that. Others look at history in a cyclical fashion. It just cycles over and over and over and basically repeats itself, but while moving forward in time, just, and that's also unending. They say history repeats itself. Some events do but the Biblical aspect, the Biblical perspective of prophecy is that there is a an end. There is an apex. There is a crescendo to human history because it's the intervention of God Almighty.
Now in verse number five of this chapter, II Peter chapter three we read concerning three earth ages or three world ages and this word world, people say the world is going to come to an end. The world, the physical world is not coming to an end. It's an age, the age, it's the ending of an age. So we see three earth ages is a better way of putting it. Verse 5, “For this, talking about the scoffers, for this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.” So the first world or better said the first earth age was before Noah's flood, from Adam to Noah was the first earth age the world that then was. Verse 6, “But the heavens and earth which are now,” so, so now we're living in the now earth age, “but the heavens and the earth which are now by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” So the first earth age was what we call that then was from Adam to Noah and then the second earth age which we call which are now is from following the flood to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the manifestation of God from heaven. And then the third earth age is found in verse twelve and thirteen. “Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.” That's the judgment of ungodly men, and the systems that ungodly men have built, the institutions whether they be educational, political, religious, scientific or otherwise. If they're ungodly, they're going to burn up and they're going to melt with fervent heat. “Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth.” So the third earth age is called new heaven and a new earth, “wherein dwelleth in righteousness.” Now this does not mean that the Earth, the planet Earth itself is just going to melt and drip like hot wax. What about the heavens? Is God going to burn up the whole universe, the Milky Way, all the constellations? No, this is talking about governments, political and religious of ungodly men. This is talking about systems that's going to be destroyed and God sets up a new heaven and a new earth.
And we just read about it in the book of Revelation, especially chapters 21 and 22, new heavens and a new earth and we find that so clearly written in Revelation 21 verse 1, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away and there was no more sea,” no more masses of people in turmoil. So, it goes along with what Peter is saying. So we have this hope. Peter plainly says it, “Nevertheless we according to his promise look for new heavens and a new earth.” The prophets spoke of that in Isaiah sixty five and sixty six. They spoke of that. Now, when is this going to take place? When are the new heavens and the new earth going to take place? In 65:17 of Isaiah, “For behold I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered nor come into mind.” And also Isaiah 66:22, “For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make shall remain before me saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.” That's absolutely wonderful promises. What about the coming of the Lord Jesus? That's going to be the greatest thing since Calvary, the greatest thing ever to take place, the greatest event ever to take place since Calvary is going be the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now ordinarily teachers for years have taught that this is going to be a rapturous coming. The Lord's going to take his church out, flyaway to another planet somewhere, turn this planet over to the devil and false prophet, the antichrist and all this tribulation for seven years and so forth. That's Roman Catholicism and futurism. But what is going to be the nature of the coming of the Lord Jesus? Second Thessalonians and I haven't forgotten the verse in I Thessalonians chapter 4. Second Thessalonians chapter one verse seven, “And to you who are troubled rest with us,” just calm down he says. You see he's already spoken about the Lord coming in his first letter to the Thessalonians. They were probably so confused concerning what Paul said in I Thessalonians 4:13 to 18 and they didn't understand and, and possibly had some wrong ideas and they were all disturbed. So in his second letter Paul writes to them and says and to you who are troubled just calm down, just rest with us. Let me explain to you in, in paraphrasing in our English language. Let me share with you the nature of the coming of the Lord Jesus. When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, how? In flaming fire. And in what nature, what attribute is he going to be manifested? In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Number one taking vengeance. There are so many scriptures and so many things that we could say concerning this, out of the parables and other places in Scripture. But that's going to be the nature of his coming. You see, he's clarifying what he had previously said in his first letter to the Thessalonian believers. Then he goes on in verse 9, “Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power,” the glory of his Majesty. When he shall come, same coming, when he shall come to be glorified in his saints. So we see a two-fold nature of the coming of Jesus Christ. Number one taking vengeance, wrath, destruction, upon them that know not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. And on the other hand, immediately the same coming two different natures, a dual nature of the same coming, he's coming to be glorified in his saints and to be admired in all them that believe in that day because our testimony among you was believed. In other words, he's telling the Thessalonian saints the Lord is going to be glorified in you and admired in you. We're going to welcome His coming. While he's taking vengeance in flaming fire upon them that know not God and on the other hand, there will be admiration, exaltation, glory and honor, and blessing and wisdom and power ascribed unto this wonderful Lamb of God, the manifestation of Christ in his saints.
Now we turn to Romans Chapter 8, a beautiful, a beautiful passage of scripture, in Romans chapter eight and for time sake I must begin in verse 17, “And if children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ if so be that we suffer with him that we may also be glorified together,” glorified together. Wow! “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us,” at his coming. “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God,” not just one son, but plural, sons of God. This creature whether it be man, mankind in general, whether it be the planet itself, is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God because that will be the time of liberation. “For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth, travaileth,” could Paul be referring to tornadoes, volcanoes, storms, droughts, hurricanes, the planet, “whole creation is groaning in travail and in pain until now. And not only they but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to-wit, the redemption of our body.” Our physical bodies are going to be redeemed at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Now going back to Thessalonians, the apostle Paul writing this letter, in his first letter to the Thessalonians he described the coming of the Lord Jesus in this manner, which has been interpreted by so many people as being a rapture to take saints away but the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back to liberate the planet, whole creation, the whole creation and He's coming back to stay. First Thessalonians chapter 4 verse 13, “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep that ye sorrow not even as others which have no hope for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,” which we do believe, “even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent or precede them which are asleep, or dead. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first,” from the dead. He's talking about resurrection. He's talking about what Paul said the redemption of our body. He's talking about what Paul said and this is Paul. He is speaking again. So Paul is consistent in Romans and in Thessalonians concerning resurrection, I Corinthians 15, resurrection. He's not talking about a rapture, a flying away. He's talking about the resurrection of the body. “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up,” Oh we're going to be changed, “together with the, with them in the clouds.” The clouds, what clouds? The cumulus clouds, rain clouds, snow clouds that extend about what 5,000 to 20,000 feet, “to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Between five thousand and twenty thousand feet in the air, in the atmosphere or the stratosphere. No. What's the clouds? We see clouds referred to in the book of Hebrews, in the book of Hebrews Chapter twelve, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses.” The clouds are referring to people. The writer of the book of Hebrews in chapter twelve and verse one applies the symbol of clouds to the list of people that he already listed in chapter eleven. Wherefore seeing we also compassed about with all this company, clouds represent a company or a group of people, a cloud of witnesses. So the Saints that were dead at the resurrection that are resurrected first, the dead in Christ shall rise first. That's the cloud, a massive cloud of saints who have just been resurrected and then we which are alive and remain, still alive, shall be caught up together with them to form, to be part of this cloud of resurrected saints in resurrection. Paul is speaking of resurrection of the body not of a rapture to fly away to heaven somewhere.
