Date Setters and Their Aftermath |
![]() |
![]() Today we would like to explore the area of date setters and their aftermath. We start with two scriptures out of the book of Revelation. Revelation 1:1, “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants,” and then it says this, “Things which must shortly come to pass, and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.” Now the verse in Revelation 22 is the next to the last verse which says this, “He which testifieth these things saith, surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so come, Lord Jesus.” Now from those two verses, I have heard for many many years and I’m sure you have to and many of you have heard that when Jesus said the He's come to show things which must shortly come to pass that many Futurists have said “Oh that's got to be in our generation, that's in my day, the rapture is in my day, the seven year tribulation will immediately follow, and therefore going to the last verse when Jesus says surely I come quickly, it’s been 2,000 years since those words were recorded. So in the meantime there have been literally scores of men and groups of men that have set dates. Click the white arrow to play the videos. |
